![UF fans fight]()
Yet again, the best fight of the night may have happened in the crowd at UFC 302 this weekend in Newark, New Jersey.
Okay, that's obviously untrue because Dustin Poirier proved that he's still got that dog in him in what may have been the last fight in a long and storied career. While he wound up losing to the heavily favored Islam Makhachev via d'arce choke in the 5th and final round (after Islam hit a slick ankle pick to secure the takedown), there was no one in that building, including the reigning champion, who could question the talent and heart of The Diamond.
But, if I'm just being honest, the rest of the card fell kind of flat. Sean Strickland himself apologized for a boring fight against Paulo Costa despite him dominating nearly the entire thing (that one judge who gave 4 rounds to Costa needs to be fired immediately) and the rest of the card had only two stoppages, one being a beautiful armbar by Kevin Holland that snapped his opponent's arm.
Which brings us to the topic at hand, which was a brawl that went down in the nosebleeds between two fans.
As is always the case, we don't know what exactly started this but the video begins with a tatted up, man-bun wearing dude in a tank top screaming in the face of a much calmer guy a row below him, repeatedly saying "Slap me, white boy" (despite appearing to be quite Caucasian, himself) and smacking himself in the face multiple times before pushing the guy below him.
Well, that was the straw that broke the camel's back and the hat-wearing calm dude did in fact slap Mr. Man Bun, which sent him crashing backwards onto his seat.
It's worth noting that Mr. Man Bun looks significantly bigger than the other dude and had the high ground advantage, but neither of those two things wound up working in his favor. He followed up his first slap with a looping hook that connected with force and again sent Mr. Man-Bun down to
the canvas his seat and this is where the first video cuts out.
The second clip starts with Mr. Man-Bun being tossed down multiple rows of seats, clearly getting his ass whooped, while the other guy lets loose a barrage of punches. Man-Bun's friends do their best to rush down and save him (they clearly didn't want to get involved earlier, probably because he deserved what was coming to him) and when they got down there it looks like the hat wearing dude gave it to them as well, though it's hard to tell in the midst of all that chaos.
All in all, it's just another reminder to not pick fights while out in public, especially at a UFC event. The odds of running into someone who actually trains is much higher when you're, you know, at a professional MMA fight, and Mr. Man-Bun learned this the hard way.
Got to love it when street justice is served.
