Sometimes you just have to take matters into your own hands.
It seems like these "smash and grab" robberies are happening all over big cities these days, where groups of people rush into a store and try to just grab as much as they can as fast as they can and get the hell out of there.
And this group at a Tanger Outlet store in Nashville would have been successful if it hadn't been for a quick-thinking group of customers.
The burglars burst into the Victoria's Secret and Perfumania store at the outlet mall in Antioch, just outside of Nashville, and began ransacking the place as they tried to get their hands on whatever they could before making their getaway. As the customers and employees left the store, the robbers attempted to break into the cash register and into the glass cases.
But rather than flee, the group who had left the store decided to take matters into their own hands.
Video shows the group barricading the door to the store as they wait for police to arrive, which according to local news station
WSMV took around 30 minutes.
Unfortunately, the robbers were able to get out the back door before police arrived, and escaped onto the nearby interstate where they were seen on a traffic camera getting into a waiting car.
Police say no report has been filed on the robbery, though they were called for what was reported as a "fight in progress."
Unfortunately this kind of thing isn't uncommon at these outlets, which just opened within the last year or so, and it's not uncommon across the country in major cities.
And obviously it's not recommended for employees or shoppers to try to take matters into their own hands. But at some point, good people are just fed up with all the madness and are ready to do something about it themselves.
