![Charley Hull]()
You've got to do what you've got to do.
Charley Hull, the
LPGA's version of John Daly (per the Internet), is just trying to do her job and shake off a nicotine addiction. Even though she's the eighth ranked women's golfer in the world, she's got a lot in common with the rest of us "regular folk."
The 28-year-old took social media by storm this week ahead of the Women's U.S. Open as she stopped to sign autographs as she ripped a cig. And as it turns out, it wasn't a "one-off" thing. Hull was later seen lighting up some heaters
during the actual competition. If that doesn't scream U.S. Open, I don't know what does (even though Hull is English).

Professional golfers on the women’s tour are currently competing in the 2024 U.S. Open, which is being held at Lancaster Country Club in Pennsylvania. The world’s best women golfers are facing off for the coveted Harton S. Semple trophy. If the tournament was based on who had the best “vibes” rather than the best score, the championship would be over before it even started.
That's because Charley Hull has quickly become a fan favorite, and she's got the game to back it up as a top-ten women's golfer on the planet. No one is paying attention to that this week as much as they are checking in to see Hull, someone who is passionate about fitness, smoking heaters while she plays.
And according to a reporter for Golf.com, she's lighting up the cigarettes in an attempt to curb another bad habit:
"Best tidbit of the week from a longtime LPGA caddie... said Charley told him she was smoking cigarettes so she can quit vaping."

That's a bold strategy Cotton, let's see how it plays out.
More power to Charley Hull. If smoking cigarettes is helping her quit vaping, then we should all support her in her fight. Charley, if you're reading this, we are all rooting for you out on the golf course and in your battle against vaping addiction. Smoke as many cigarettes as you need.
