The election of Donald Trump back in November seems to have broken a lot of peoples’ brains. Last year before he was even sworn in you had women on TikTok shaving their heads and vowing to withhold sex from men for the next 4 years, and now liberals have decided to take their anger out on Elon Musk and Tesla by firebombing the electric vehicle manufacturer’s dealerships and charging stations, as well as vandalizing cars (which, let’s be honest, are probably more likely to be owned by liberals in the first place).
Early in his second term, Trump announced that he would be appointing himself as chairman of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC and terminating board members “who do not share our Vision for a Golden Age in Arts and Culture.” Trump has criticized the Kennedy Center (which is federally funded) for hosting events like drag shows and “woke” productions that promote a left-wing agenda, and said he hopes to get the focus back to the arts and not promoting social causes.
But as you can imagine, employees of the Kennedy Center…well, probably didn’t vote for Trump. And one of them decided to take to YouTube recently for a bizarre rant about Trump and his efforts to reform the arts institute.
Oh, and for some reason, he was completely naked in the video.
Tavish Forsyth, a contractor for the Kennedy Center’s WNO Opera Institute, posted the 35-minute nude video titled “Trump Declares War on Artists | Do I Quit the Kennedy Center?” And in the rant, he questioned whether he should quit his job or stay and “fight.”
“I’m gonna ask, does staying make me a collaborator or somehow complicit in a hostile government takeover that’s systematically targeting the livelihood and liberty of poor people, queer people, black/brown people, people of color, immigrants, Muslims, victims in war-torn countries, ethnic cleansing, women?
And gosh, when I put it that way it seems obvious. Fuck Donald Trump and the Kennedy Center.
But on the other hand, is staying holding the line and living to fight another day? Do I take up space and defend the vision for this institution that is diverse and inclusive unlike Trump’s vision for America?”
Well fortunately for Forsyth he got some help with his decision.
Ric Grenell, a close Trump ally who became the highest-ranking openly gay cabinet member in history when Trump appointed him as acting Director of National Intelligence during his first term, was appointed by Trump to serve as the acting executive director of the Kennedy Center. And after Forsyth posted his video, Grenell announced that the employee had been fired from his job:

The most disturbing part of the whole story is that Forsyth reportedly worked with students in his role with the Kennedy Center, so it’s easy to see why the decision was made to part ways with him.
But man, some of these peoples’ brains are just really broken these days. And they wonder why Trump felt changes needed to be made at the Kennedy Center in the first place?
