He gone.
As I’ve said before, I don’t know a lot about sports radio host Dan Bernstein from from 670 The Score in Chicago, but every time I’ve heard about the sports radio host it’s been because he was a dick to somebody.
Bernstein has been with the radio station for decades, previously hosting Boers and Bernstein for over 15 years alongside former Chicago Sun-Times columnist Terry Boers. The show began as a morning program way back in 1999, and went on to become an afternoon staple in the Chicago sports radio world, ending in 2016 as the longest running Chicago sports radio show ever.
But these days it seems like he’s just a miserable old man who takes out his self-hatred (and hatred for President Donald Trump) on everybody else around him.
Last year, Bernstein went viral for an interaction with Barstool Eddie when the radio host snapped at him for calling him by his last name:

Well recently Bernstein was back in the headlines for being an asshole, this time on social media after he threatened to dox a man and his family for calling him out over a fish.
It started when Bernstein posted a photo with a northern pike that he says put up a “helluva fight.” The man then accuses Bernstein of killing what appeared to be a pre-spawn pike based on the blood around its gills, which set off the radio host and sent him into a total meltdown that included threatening to dox him and his kids:

Well earlier this week, people quickly noticed that Bernstein was absent from his usual spot on the radio. And today, station vice president Mitch Rosen announced that Bernsey was gone for good:
“On behalf of Kevin Cassidy and myself, we want to let all of you know that Dan Bernstein no longer works at the Score. We thank Dan for his time here and wish him nothing but the best. Please reach out to me if you have any questions. Thank you.”
And Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports, was quick to celebrate the news.
El Pres, who’s known to keep champagne bottles with the names of his enemies, had one ready to go after Bernstein flipped out on his employee last year. And today, he was able to pop that champagne bottle as he watched his enemy fall:

It’s also not the only fallout from his deranged Twitter meltdown. Bernstein has also been removed from the board of directors of a local children’s cancer charity over his threats.
Camp One Step, a charity that provides camp experiences for children battling cancer, announced on Sunday that Bernstein had been kicked off their board:
“Camp One Step brings happiness, support, strength and hope to hundreds of children each year. Recently, Dan Bernstein made comments on social media that don’t reflect our mission. As a result, we’ve removed him from our board of directors.”

Just a total loser move from Bernstein here. Imagine being so triggered by a troll on social media that you threaten to dox him and his kids, and then lose your job and your position on the board of a children’s cancer charity.
Of course it seems like it was more than just the guy’s comments that triggered the radio host. He let the mask slip when he called the guy a “MAGA worm,” so something tells me that Bernstein’s hatred for Donald Trump has him a little on edge these days and ready to lash out at anybody he believes is a Trump supporter.
But hey, now that he’s unemployed, at least he has more time to do some fishing.
