Bubba Wallace Pokes Fun At Himself After Being Booed During All-Star Race Driver Intros: “Guess Who Lost The Fan Vote?”

Probably not gonna be winning most popular driver any time soon... Bubba Wallace is obviously one of the more polarizing drivers in the NASCAR Cup Series, with the driver of the #23 car for Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin's 23XI Racing having more than his fair share of hardcore fans - but also quite a few hardcore haters. Go to a NASCAR race and you'll be hard-pressed to find a driver who receives more boos than Bubba, other than maybe his team owner Hamlin. And Wallace knows it. Bubba has acknowledged before that he hears the boos from the crowd, but that he's doing better at trying to tune them out and not let the reactions get to him. And leaning into it might be a good way to win some people over. Ahead of the NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway this weekend, Bubba once again received quite a few boos from the crowd during driver introductions. And after the race, he posted a funny video on TikTok acknowledging the reception he got from the crowd, joking that didn't get the fan-voted spot in the main event. Before walking out, an official told Bubba that he'd be walking into the stands near the fans - but assured him that there were plenty of cops around.
