Elderly Pittsburgh Penguins Fan Steals Puck From Young Boy, Has A Meltdown When A Player’s Wife Brings The Kid A New One

What the hell was going on with Pennsylvania sports fans this weekend? We've already seen one example of bad behavior from the Keystone State yesterday when a Philadelphia Eagles fan harassed a Green Bay Packers fan and called her an "ugly dumb c*nt" during the NFL Wild Card Round game at Lincoln Financial Field in Philly yesterday. But apparently the fans over in Pittsburgh weren't exactly behaving themselves either... A video has gone viral showing an elderly man having a full blown temper tantrum at a Pittsburgh Penguins game after a young fan was given a hockey puck by a player's wife. And it apparently all started when the man stole a puck from the kid earlier in the game. According to PittsburghHockeyNow, a puck had gotten stuck in the netting, and the young boy ran down to grab it as a souvenir. After freeing the puck and claiming his prize, the old man reportedly took it from him and instead gave it to his adult granddaughter. Obviously this didn't sit well with the crowd, who began jeering the man and cheering for him to give the kid his puck back. And it also got the attention of some of the players' families, including the wife of one unnamed player who had a puck downstairs in the family room that she decided to get for the kid. After being escorted over by an usher to give the young fan the puck, the crowd began cheering as the kid showed off his prize. And apparently the old dude just couldn't handle seeing the boy getting all the attention. The man walks over and begins yelling at the kid's mom, who to her credit didn't back down as the ridiculous old man was yelling in her face. The crowd began mercilessly booing the man, and the mom even cocked back her fist like she was ready to swing at him, but fans stepped in and told the man to get out. Honestly at that point, it was probably as much for his safety as anything else that they got him the hell out of there. I've never seen an arena turn on one of their own fans like they did this guy - and it was obviously well-deserved. I just don't understand what gets into fans to act that way. It's just a hockey puck, and it's going to mean way more to that kid than it will to an adult. And now, the entire arena hates you and realizes that you're an asshole.
