If you're not familiar with the process, voters in the presidential election vote for "electors" for their chosen candidate. Those electors, which make up the electoral college, then vote for the winning candidate to receive that state's electoral votes. And the next step in the process is for Congress to certify those electoral votes, which is happening today in Washington DC. During a joint session of Congress, the House of Representatives and the United States Senate will meet and hear any objections to the electoral votes, and the Vice President, who presides as President of the Senate, will certify the electoral votes and officially name Donald Trump as the winner of the election. Well there you have it. The planets are saying that Kamala Harris is going to be the next president, so I guess Trump should just enjoy his time at Mar-a-Lago.
