Cowboys Fans Are The Only People Not Surprised By Jerry Jones’ Phenomenal ‘Landman’ Performance: “He’s Pretended To Be A Football Expert For 35 Years”

Jerry Jones Landman

Can't manage a football team to save his life, but he can... act? Landman fans were stunned to see Cowboys owner and GM, Jerry Jones, make a cameo appearance in the penultimate episode of Season 1. It's also fairly ironic that the cameo appearance came on the final day on the NFL season, an extremely disappointing season for Dallas Cowboys fans. Like imagine sitting through that final game of the season, a 23-19 loss to the Washington Commanders, frustrated by mediocre year with a 7-10 finish. And then you flip on Landman Sunday night only to be reminded of your misery... that's just brutal. And look, I don't think I know any Cowboys fans that love Jerry Jones the GM, they might like Jerry Jones the owner, but not Jerry Jones the GM, and it's 100% fair to say that he deserves a lot of the blame for the Cowboys' struggles in recent years. Of course, they've been a playoff team in 6 of the last 11 seasons, winning the division 5 times... but they just can't seem to do any real damage in the playoffs. It just a perpetual cycle of being underwhelmed and disappointed for Cowboys fans, and as a Bears fan myself, I am just used to football season being terrible. The expectations are BEYOND low... I'd hate to think that we actually have a chance every year, only for those hopes to be dashed in the first round of the playoffs. But football talk aside, Jerry was actually... really impressive in his cameo performance? Like, shockingly good. In the 9th episode of the first season, titled "WolfCamp," Jon Hamm's character, M-Tex CEO Monty, is in the hospital dealing with heart problems, and receives a visit from none other than Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who plays himself. And he drops some serious perspective on Monty with an impressive monologue: “I made my mind up a long time ago that I was going to work with my kids. And they're involved in everything... When I got the Cowboys, I got it so we could all work together. I thought I was doing it for them, but the one that got the most out of it was me... You're gonna be sitting here sometime in the future, laying here sometime in the future, and this room is gonna be full of your business associates, and the people you've worked with all your life. And more than likely, your children and family are gonna be there because they're your children and your family. But you could have them there because they're the people you spent your life with... not just Thanksgiving and Christmas. I’m pretty proud of them Cowboys, I’m pretty proud of the stuff we’ve done in oil and gas. t pales in comparison to how proud I am to have lived my life working with my kids.” Pretty good advice, eh? Perhaps Jerry isn't acting as much as he's just sharing some of the wisdom he gathered over the years. Either way, a pretty impressive performance from Jerry https://twitter.com/KongoZande/status/1875861639653978618 A number of comments praised him for the stellar acting performance: Although, a number of Cowboys fans were not surprised at all... after all, he's pretended to be a GM for more than 3 decades now. ZING. OOF... Man, I don't know what's worse... being a Bears fan like myself, stuck in a cycle of perpetual suck... or a Cowboys fan, stuck in a cycle of shattered expectations with an incompetent owner/GM who shows no sign of relinquishing power anytime soon. I suppose that's a debate for another time, but regardless, how good is Landman? I'm loving it, and I'm loving the stellar soundtrack. If you love country music, you HAVE to check it out.
