Lot of support for DJT in football these days.
Of course the "Trump dance" has taken over football celebrations after Donald Trump defeated Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election. Both NFL and college football players have taken to mimicking Trump's distinctive "YMCA" dance after scoring a touchdown. And it's even spread to other sports too:

Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers is one of those players who has broken out the Trump dance, showing off his moves after a touchdown against Florida, just days after the election:

According to Longhorns lineman Jake Majors, the offense came up with the idea after seeing the dance going viral on TikTok.

But today, eagle-eyed fans noticed Ewers seemed to be expressing his support for Trump in another way too.
The Longhorns are currently taking on the Clemson Tigers during the first round of the college football playoffs. And when Texas shared photos of the team walking into the stadium, folks over on Twitter quickly noticed that the star quarterback was sporting a gold "Trump" tie clip.

It's obviously not the first time Ewers has expressed his support for the former/future president. After the assassination attempt on Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania this summer, both Ewers and his fellow Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning shared the iconic photo of Trump encouraging his supporters to fight:

And with the way Texas is looking against Clemson right now, it seems like Ewers is channeling a little bit of Trump's energy from the 2024 election to help his team advance to the next round of the playoffs.
It appears that it's not just the sports world that is signaling their support for Donald Trump either. Recently a video went viral of country music legend George Strait appearing to do the Trump dance while walking off stage, with Trump's campaign account even sharing the video and praising the King for his support:
"The King of Country himself George Strait brought out the Trump Dance last night in Vegas..."

Even Victor Willis, the lead singer of the Village People who has admitted that he supported Harris during the election, has embraced Trump's use of their song in his famous dance, recently saying during an interview that he appreciated the attention Trump and his dance have brought to their song and saying that he was open to performing the song at Trump's inauguration next month:
“Because the President-Elect has done so much for YMCA, and brought so much joy to so many people – the song has actually gone back to #1 and it’s still #1 today – so if he were to ask Village People to perform the song live for him, we’d have to seriously consider it.”
It's certainly a change from Trump's first campaign, when it seems that most of his supporters were afraid to admit that they supported him out of fear of the public backlash and criticism from insane people on the other side.
Who would have thought that just a few years later we'd have football players doing his dance and wearing his merch into playoff games?
