Man Riding A Longhorn With His Dog Kicked Off Texas A&M Campus Ahead Of Lone Star Showdown Against Texas

I'm sorry, I thought this was America Texas. With Texas joining the SEC this year, the Longhorns are rekindling their rivalry with Texas A&M today for the first time in 13 years. Texas is having a monster season, currently sitting at 10-1 and looking to win the SEC in their first season. But first, they have to get past the Aggies, who are 8-3 and can secure their spot to face Georgia in the SEC Championship Game with a win tonight over their in-state rival. We've already seen some upsets today, with Michigan knocking off #2 Ohio State to keep the Buckeyes out of the Big 10 Championship Game, and Syracuse beating Miami to knock them out of the ACC Championship Game (and likely the College Football Playoffs). So with an incredible rivalry week already, and so much on the line, the excitement is even higher for the Lone Star Showdown tonight between the Longhorns and the Aggies. In fact, one guy even showed up on campus atop a longhorn. Video circulating on social media showed the man and his dog riding a longhorn steer around College Station, alongside another man on horseback.

Tell me that ain't the most Texas damn thing you've ever seen. But unfortunately, they weren't around for long. As it turns out, Texas A&M police spotted the duo and asked them to leave campus. According to a release from the police department: "University Rules Violation - PA 68. A man was riding a horse and another man & his dog were riding a longhorn. Agreed to leave campus." https://twitter.com/TAMUPolice/status/1862998610834518111 Lame. This is rivalry week, and this guy should be the damn mascot for the rivalry, not kicked off campus. Of course we've already seen how much the games mean this week, after a massive brawl broke out in Columbus after Michigan players attempted to plant a flag on Ohio State's field after knocking off the Buckeyes for the fourth straight year. https://twitter.com/DaveHolmesTV/status/1862966967591690719 And there was also a fight between UNC and NC State after the Wolfpack beat the Tar Heels and planted their flag at midfield in Chapel Hill. https://twitter.com/JordanCrammer/status/1863012044326191335 There's also quite a bit on the line in this game between the Longhorns and the Aggies, with Texas hoping to secure their spot in the College Football Playoffs as the SEC Champions. While they're likely going to be in either way, it's a lot easier to make the case if they're conference champions - something Texas A&M is hoping to prevent. So if a guy wants to ride his longhorn around campus with his dog to take in the excitement, why not let him? I have a feeling the police in College Station are going to have plenty to deal with after the game - especially if the Aggies manage to knock the Longhorns out of the SEC Championship Game. This is why I love college football so damn much. You just don't see fans like this in the NFL. https://twitter.com/UTBarstool/status/1863007754727677988
