Ohio State Mocked For Showing More Fight Over Michigan Players Planting A Flag On Their Field Than They Did During The Game

Where was that energy during the game? It's rivalry week in college football, and one of the biggest games of the weekend is the matchup between Big 10 rivals Ohio State and Michigan. Ohio State is on the hunt for a national championship, coming into the week having only lost once, to #1 Oregon, and having nearly locked up a spot in the College Football Playoffs. Meanwhile, Michigan has had a rough year following the loss of their head coach Jim Harbaugh and several key offensive players after winning the national championship last year. (And of course they also lost Connor Stalions...) The Wolverines entered the game with a 6-5 record, but then again the records don't really mean much during a rivalry game. Michigan had won three straight against their arch rival Buckeyes, but Ohio State came into the game feeling confident that they would be able to break the streak at home in Columbus and sail to a berth in the Big 10 championship game. But they didn't. The Buckeyes missed two field goals and their offense never really got going behind quarterback Will Howard, and with under a minute to go, Michigan kicked a field goal to take the lead 13-10 and ultimately knock off Ohio State for the fourth consecutive year. And then the fireworks began. As Michigan players celebrated and ran out to plant a Michigan flag at midfield, Ohio State players weren't happy and ran down to attempt to stop them - and then all hell broke loose. Fuck that shit man, fuck these guys." And look, I get that the seniors are upset after losing to Michigan every year they've been at Ohio State. They've never experienced a victory over the Wolverines, and there's no doubt that hurts. But you can't let them win in the biggest game of the year and then get mad when they celebrate.
