NFL Fans Are Convinced Luke Kuechly Was Hammered In The Booth During Panthers/Giants Game In Germany

Luke Kuechly sports

Hitting those beer halls HARD, so it seems. Over the weekend, the Carolina Panthers and the New York Giants travelled over to Munich, Germany to play an NFL game at Allianz Arena. In an effort to promote the sport overseas, you'll also see teams play in places like London usually at least once during the season, and American football is actually pretty popular in Europe. Well, the Panthers finally managed to put together a win streak (it's been only two games in a row, but I don't even care), and won the game in thrilling fashion during overtime with a walk off field goal by Eddy Pineiro. Our second-year quarterback Bryce Young played better than he ever really has, and honestly, I'm feeling like we just about won the damn Super Bowl.. that just goes to show how bad things have been, but I will take a win however we can get it and it was so fun to watch them win a game again. I forgot what it felt like, honestly... Of course, both teams got there a few days early to enjoy the sights, sounds, food and everything else Germany has to offer... so of course they were putting back the beers, too. It's one of Germany's best and most famous exports. Panthers legends Steve Smith, Thomas Davis and Luke Kuechly handed out beers to fans all week long, and it looked like a helluva time: https://www.instagram.com/p/DCHOX0cPpRn/ And one person in particular seemed to be enjoying a few brews even on game day... and that would be none other than Panthers great Luke Kuechly, former pro Bowl linebacker who currently calls the games for the Panthers on the local Charlotte radio station, alongside former quarterback Jake Delhomme along with Anish Shroff. The Panthers posted a video this evening from inside the broadcast booth during the game winning call, and let's just say... Luke had to have at least a good buzz going, in my humble opinion. Also, just going off of his body language too, it's clear he was feelin' nice and loose, which is honestly hilarious because we don't get to see that side of him too often. Luke is usually super professional, well-spoken and buttoned up, and it's not that he wasn't here, but you could just tell he was enjoying one of Germany's best exports... as he should. I don't know if you've ever been buzzed, or completely drink at a tailgate before, then gone to a football game that comes down to the wire like this game did... but conversations between friends usually go exactly like this after a day of drinking: "Anish, I don't know if you've been at the beer hall, but hey... I hope he makes this kick. I hope he makes this kick. Hey, hey, he's been a good kicker for us. We can talk about all the accuracy afterwards. Alright Anish, it's all you, say whatever you want now. Whatever you want." I'm honestly living for it... drunk Luke Kuechly is iconic. He's one of my all-time favorite football players, and seeing this side of him is so much fun, because it's not something we've ever seen before and he is so funny like this. Here's a look at some of the comments from Panthers fans who also noticed that Luke seemed a little bit different than normal: "Germany was a good time and those beers kept us warm in the stands! Luke tells no lies those beer halls were. Thanks Germany for the hospitality & the win!" "That boy Luke lit" "Luke sounding like he had a few" "Luke seemed so hammered lmao" "He’s so cooked" "Luke been drinking huh" "You know the boys were hammered up there." "Okay, I thought I was the only one thought. Hey, he sound a little smashed. LUKE THE MAN." "Luke was Lit!!" "Idk but Luke sounds buzzed haha" "Luke been enjoying that Germany" "Luke was about to say idk if you been at the beer hall but I have" Other fans thought that he wasn't drunk, he just didn't want Anish to outright say anything about Eddie making the kick because of superstitious reasons, which I do think was part of it... but he was also buzzed, too, which made it even better: "People saying Luke was drinking or lit are idiots , he was saying that because he didn’t want to jinx the kick, casuals don’t get it" "A little superstitious eh?" "Luke's head snap like... seriously, don't jinx him!" "I’m with Luke, my superstition is so strong that I alter friendships and marriage if it’s going against my luck rituals." "Luke knows about the announcer jinx" Take a look for yourself and see what you think, it's a really funny video either way: https://www.instagram.com/p/DCSlaq5yOOu/
