Man Dying Of Cancer Shares Emotional Video Casting His Vote For Donald Trump From The Hospital: “May Be One Of The Last Things I Do”

John Heisen voting hospital

If he can do it, there's no excuse for anybody else not to cast their vote. We're only two days out from election day, when voters will head to the polls to decide our next president in the race between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. Millions of Americans have already cast their vote, with around half of the total number of votes from 2020 having already been cast during early voting across the country. And one of those 75 million is John Heisen. According to a video posted to social media, Heisen has leukemia and knows that he's dying of cancer. But from his hospital room, he still made sure that he cast his vote for his preferred candidate - the GOP nominee Donald Trump. "I'm John Heisen. I'm dying of cancer, leukemia. And one of the things I had to do today is vote. Please vote. So I'm voting today. It may be one of the last things I do. I'm going to vote right now. Donald Trump. Mr. Trump, President Trump, I hope the best for you. I pray for you. I pray for this country. God love you all." https://twitter.com/TONYxTWO/status/1852890585599705249 Meanwhile, as we near election day, the candidates are making their final pitches to voters on the campaign trail. Last night, the Democrat nominee made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live, having a conversation with "herself" as played by Maya Rudolph. https://twitter.com/nbcsnl/status/1852921270159163900 Harris chose to appear on SNL after declining to make an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast like her opponent. While Trump spent 3 hours with Rogan for an episode that's racked up 44 million views on YouTube alone, the Harris campaign reportedly told Rogan that they would only agree to an hour long interview. And the candidate refused to record the episode in Rogan's Austin studio, instead demanding that Rogan fly to her to do the interview. Rogan refused to agree to the demands from the Harris campaign, a decision that led some online to criticize him as a "diva," though he explained that he offered Harris the same opportunity that he offered to Trump - and under the same conditions. The decision not to appear on Rogan (and to appear on SNL) comes at the end of a wild election season, one that saw President Trump survive multiple assassination attempts and the Democrats replace their nominee Joe Biden with Harris after a lackluster performance from the president in the first debate. All the polls show a tight race, with the winner likely coming down to just a few states like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan. And after the last election was decided by just a few thousand votes in some states, it's clear that this time around, every vote is going to count. That's why it's so important to get out to the polls on Tuesday if you haven't already voted. If John Heisen can vote from the hospital while dying of cancer, there's no reason for you not to make your voice heard too.
