![Dak Prescott Clearly Says “We F*****g Suck” On Camera During Cowboys’ Loss To Falcons… & He Isn’t Wrong]()
![Dak Prescott]()
Trouble in paradise for America's Team. Well actually, the alarm bells should've been blaring for weeks for the Dallas Cowboys by now. Sunday's 27-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons was merely the latest disappointing defeat that wasn't as close as the scoreboard suggests.
At least Dak understands how bad his team is. As he stood on the sidelines watching his backup Cooper Rush get some run, a frustrated Dak had a pointed remark about his offensive unit. Only a few words long, but very telling.

When I wrote about
the Cowboys torpedoing their future by paying Dak $60 million per year on his new contract, I thought Dallas might've had another playoff appearance in them this year before that payday gets super taxing. Instead, an overhaul in Big D feels like in an inevitability. Mike McCarthy's seat is hotter than Will Ferrell's was in
Austin Powers. Safe to say Mike is feeling the flames creeping up on him.

Dak injured his hamstring and had to sit out the final few series. Rush actually led a touchdown drive on the Cowboys' last possession for a late morale boost on a day not terribly full of those for Jerry Jones' guys.
To be a little fair, we gotta acknowledge how much of a factor injuries have played in Dallas' lack of 2024 success. It's getting ridiculous at this point how many players they're losing on a weekly basis, including Dak today.

Would the Cowboys' outlook be that much better with the vast majority of those guys healthy? Hard to say. However, if you're being paid $60 million per season on average, you'd better be able to pick up the slack and elevate your team. That's literally what Jerry paid Dak all that money to do. Instead, you've even got Skip Bayless jumping ship — and I can't believe I actually agree with Skip on something.

McCarthy isn't blameless in this, though. ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky is among the growing group of NFL analysts who are critical of the coach's antiquated schemes that are setting up Dak for failure.

CeeDee Lamb is a flat-out Dude. Elite WR1. Who else scares you on the Cowboys' offense? And because of that, you can't run a super old-school West Coast system and expect rudimentary plays to beat good defenses. As long as somebody's accounting for Lamb, what are McCarthy's other answers to make his dusty playbook work for Dak? He's proven he doesn't have many. I think that much is clear.
Then think about it: Ex-Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn has coached the Washington Commanders to first place in the NFC East. Mike Zimmer has been a huge downgrade of a hire to take Quinn's spot. Not having Micah Parsons or DeMarcus Lawrence most of the way has hindered Zimmer, who like McCarthy, would've qualified as a sick hire way more so a decade ago.
All I know is, the Cowboys need an absolutely
killer next couple draft classes. They need to help Dak, and his contract limits their ability to do so in free agency.
Quickly on the Falcons, though: I think it's clear who the better QB was between Dak and Kirk Cousins on Sunday. Captain Kirk
shredded the defense of his former Vikings head coach.
