“Literally Sprained His F***ing Nuts” – Watch Cowboys OL Tyler Smith Deliver Hilarious Postgame Interview On Jalen Tolbert’s Game-Winning TD

Tyler Smith interview Cowboys

With the Pittsburgh Steelers' defense keying in on CeeDee Lamb and allowing him to catch only one ball after the first quarter, somebody had to step up for America's Team. With wily vet Brandin Cooks out of the lineup, that responsibility fell on Jalen Tolbert, who answered the bell and then some with a game-high seven receptions on 10 targets for 87 yards and the winning touchdown. What made Tolbert's TD snag with 20 seconds left all the more impressive was that he crumbled to the turf at Acrisure Stadium in pain the play right before. Then, he had to run all the way across the formation on what looked to be a mesh concept, as no fewer than three Pittsburgh defenders went with Lamb. The slightest pick by CeeDee helped Tolbert create just enough separation for Dak Prescott to deliver the decisive strike. https://twitter.com/JoriEpstein/status/1843153014288494894 https://twitter.com/NextGenStats/status/1843155699653865626 However, it wasn't until afterwards did we really get an idea of what sort of pain Tolbert was going through. Salute to Cowboys left guard Tyler Smith for providing an instantly iconic quote about Tolbert's ailing region. https://twitter.com/SaadYousuf126/status/1843164168201097555 https://twitter.com/es3_09/status/1843278591284711809 Somebody get Jerry Jones to check on this guy since he takes such an interest in the groin areas of his players. By that I mean absolutely leave it to the medical professionals to help out Tolbert. I can't confirm or deny whether Tolbert did, in fact, sprain his bawls, but let's not get caught up in the hard facts. The bottom line is, he fought through whatever he fought through to help Dallas get a massive victory on the road and improve to 3-2. The dub was especially huge with the 4-1 Washington Commanders just going scorched Earth on anyone in their path. The NFC East has been so top-heavy with the Cowboys and Eagles for as long as I can remember. Now all of a sudden, with the Giants getting an improbable win in Seattle and the Commies being the surprise team of the entire NFL, that division is looking a lot tighter and far more interesting than usual. Thought it was worth including that bit about Tolbert spending time with Dak in the summer as context. Might be time to give the young man more reps over Cooks. If that happens, dare I say, Cooks might get traded for a fifth time in his career before the deadline. Poor guy. But hey shoot, Jalen Tolbert got it done in a huge clutch spot where the Cowboys have repeatedly failed to deliver. No matter how his reps shake out going forward, he earned serious trust from the whole team on Sunday night — and showed the type of grit Dallas has simply lacked over the past couple decades. Tolbert soaking in a chant of his name after the game was pretty cool. Hard not to root for this guy, even if it's hard to root for the Cowboys. And I'm officially a Tyler Smith fan. https://twitter.com/SNFonNBC/status/1843162790296764876
