Is Mrs. Taylor Swift Kelce loading?
There have always been conflicting thoughts on whether
Travis Kelce and
Taylor Swift have taken their relationship to the next level. While some believe the two will secretly get engaged and elope, others think the engagement announcement will happen right before the wedding. Another group says they will announce it the traditional way.
But if there is one fact, it's that, given her level of fame, Taylor Swift's life is anything but traditional.
While there is always talk of "are they, aren't they," some recent video footage from an
Eras Tour stop combined with a
Cosmopolitan article has the Swifties in a spiral, and the question has been popped.
Let's start with the video that has gone viral on social media. Two days ago, a TikTok user uploaded a segment of Swift talking during her Warsaw, Poland show. The short one-minute clip is seemingly filled with Easter eggs. Swift stands at her microphone and tells the audience she is in a "fantastic mood tonight." While that could mean anything, she feels great, is getting a second wind on this leg of the tour, or really anything; right after she says that, she very obviously rubs her left ring finger. After rubbing it, she nods her head, which fans speculate is her confirming the engagement has taken place.
"I think they have been since the Lake Como photos! Lol they probably just told their personal close friends and fam."
"TAYLOR YOU BETTER LET US IN ON THIS."
"Her eyes, they never lie."
"She did the smile. Not the smirk, but the smile."
"I have been suspecting this for a while. A while back, I peeped a ring on her left ring finger."
Given the 3.2 million views on the video, fans feel in their gut that it could be true.
To add more speculation on top of that video, yesterday,
Cosmopolitan published an article noting that the wife of a Chiefs executive was overheard saying that Swift and Kelce are already engaged. While Kelce's team has denied plans for a proposal to take place, a source says that the executive's wife was overheard in a suite telling friends and family that the question had already been popped.
Cosmo said it best with the following sentence noting it was:
"Definitely giving 'heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend who' energy. Nevertheless, it’s still...interesting intel!"
A lot of conflicting opinions have been swirling the internet since May on whether it has or hasn't happened. But I think the Swifties are convinced these two are endgame, so any inkling that an engagement is on the table is going to send her fanbase into a spiral.
I don't think my two cents are significant, but I think they will keep everything private until the wedding is over and done with.
