Sounds perfectly logical to me. A Nashville man, 47-year old Donald Bilby, was arrested early this morning after stealing a Jack Daniel's barrel from outside of Bridgestone Arena, the home of the Nashville Predators in downtown Music City. Now, before you get too excited: No, the barrel wasn't full of the ol' black label. It was a decorative barrel with the Nashville Predators logo on it located outside of the Pete & Terry's Tavern, the bar and restaurant attached to the arena that serves as a popular pregame tailgate spot for Preds fans and concertgoers. It gets even better though: Bilby used a stolen skid steer loader to swipe the barrel. According to WSMV, police were called to the arena after witnesses saw the man steal the Kubota skid steer from a nearby construction site, and then drive it to Bridgestone to steal the barrel. Once officers caught up with Bilby, he allegedly told officers that he found the skid steer in the street with the key in it and "assumed they wanted it moved." So he was really just a Good Samaritan, guys. Well apparently the contractor at the construction site told a different (more believable) story, alleging that Bilby had pulled down a fence before making off with the machinery. Bilby was reportedly unloading the barrel when officers caught up to him. Unfortunately, no good deed goes unpunished, and Bilby was arrested and charged with felony burglary, vehicle theft, property theft, and vandalism. He's currently being held at the Davidson County Jail on a $62,000 bond. https://twitter.com/WSMV/status/1803098463493660720
