Brooks Koepka has always been a little polarizing, but the five-time major champ who used to be a little too cocky for his own good has only grown more relatable over the years. Whether it's revealing confidence issues on Season 1 of Netflix's
Full Swing documentary series, being unable to resist a nine-figure payday from LIV Golf, or transforming his physique from linebacker-esque to dad bod, Brooks has no shortage of supporters out there.
All that said, there are still a lot of haters who have no problem speaking their mind in relative anonymity and, until now, certain obscurity. Smash GC is one of LIV Golf's teams, and they released a video of Brooks rattling off some very difficult tweets, including a super vulgar dig related to Tiger Woods.

Another tweet criticized Brooks' ever so slightly plump frame, imploring him to, "suck it in, fat boy." Brooks could do nothing but laugh, acknowledge the reality that his core isn't as tight as it used to be, but made it clear he's embracing his dad bod. The clock on Father Time is indeed ticking now that Brooks is a relatively new dad, but man, he has let that belly go a little early given that he's only 34 years of age.
As someone also in their mid-30s without a kid, I can attest to how a rapid metabolism decline and just borderline eating habits can increase one's waistline in a hurry. Not trying to throw shade at Brooks or pile on like some of the trolls on Twitter are.
I love how Brooks makes fun of the guy who calls him a b***h by making fun of his gym selfie profile picture on Elon Musk's X/Twitter. It's also a testament to how comfortable Brooks is in his own skin that he can take all these slings and arrows and not let it bother him in the slightest.
Interesting plot twist at the end: Brooks is labeled as the worst human being in all of golf — even worse than Patrick Reed. It's harder to be more insufferable than Reed, or so it'd seem from the outside looking in. I was stunned to hear Brooks cap things off by saying Reed is "a good dude." Don' think I've heard a soul in the game — player, journalist, commentator, anyone! — say anything remotely close to "good dude" and "Patrick Reed" in the same sentence.
Props to Brooks for being such a good sport and doing this segment. He had it going with the early lead on Thursday at the US Open.

Despite backsliding on the back nine, Brooks still shot an even-par 70. That's five shots off clubhouse leader Patrick Cantlay. Nevertheless,
with how difficult Pinehurst figures to play on the weekend, anything around even par should be right in the mix to win it.
