Dale Earnhardt Jr. NASCAR

NASCAR fans looking for Dale Jr. as a part of the broadcast team this summer won't get to see their fan-favorite announcer. The summer schedule for NASCAR is officially here, meaning that the broadcasting rights have flipped from FOX to NBC and TNT. So for the rest of the year, Jeff Burton, Rick Allen, and Steve Letarte will be welcoming you into races when you tune on race days. Notice that one big name that would usually be there was omitted from that list... NBC sent out their annual press release letting fans know who would be included in their NASCAR coverage, and though some regular, expected names like Rick Allen and Jeff Burton were there, people couldn't help but notice the absence of Dale Earnhardt Jr. But that shouldn't come as a surprise, since NBC let the beloved driver walk when his contract expired last season: https://twitter.com/KellyCrandall/status/1800669354939556100 So now, NASCAR fans will go without seeing Dale Jr. (at least on the NBC broadcast) for the entire rest of the year. That's because he already inked a deal to join Amazon and Warner Bros. Discovery as they get in on the sport of racing in 2025. The Athletic first reported that Earnhardt Jr., who joined NBC after retiring from driving in 2018 and had been a member of their broadcast booth ever since, would leave his former home to join NASCAR’s new partners, and will be a part of the coverage on both Amazon and Warner next year. Though that news has been available for a while, it didn't stop fans from getting really, really, really sad when NBC released the details of their broadcast team and Dale wasn't a part of it:
