Marathon beers

Training for a half marathon? That's lame. Deleting beers and depriving yourself of sleep the night before a half marathon? THAT is how you do it. Or at least how this living legend (that BroBible tracked down) did it. I have to think that the beers still in his system and his lackadaisical approach to the whole thing definitely helped him out. I'll never understand people that run marathons. Let me get this straight - you are going to jog for hours on end and YOU have to pay to do it? If I was getting paid to run 26.2 miles, that would be one thing, but you won't see me paying someone else to do it. Not even for a half marathon of 13.1 miles. But I guess if you are going to do it, you should go in like this guy. Half marathon in the morning? No problem. All you can really do the night before a big race is hydrate, and beer is 90 percent water. There's no telling how hydrated this guy was after he drank 14 brewskis, as shown in the TikTok video (that now has millions of views) that followed along in both the preparation and the race. Think of all the hard work and hours spent training by other runners that participated in this Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon in San Diego, California. They must have realized their mistakes, or at least questioned what they were doing, when they saw a sort-of-in-shape frat guy powering through the half marathon (on five hours of sleep) like it was a walk in the park. The unwavering athlete and male specimen stopped to partake in anything and everything that was offered on the sidelines along the way (beer, brownies, donuts) which made the footage that much more hilarious. First off, shoutout to the runner's Alan Jackson concert t-shirt that he wore to run the half marathon. Alan Jackson would be proud to be represented in such a historic bro moment. Secondly, I can't imagine that this is the way to go about running 13.1 miles - but then again, he did seem to make it look easy. I think the guy had such a strong belief in himself that nothing was going to stop him. It was either that, or the fact that he was just the perfect amount of buzzed the entire time. And I think I'm going to lean towards the beers being his saving grace...
