Looking for a guide on the release dates of Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming Yellowstone spinoffs? Look no further.
It’s crazy to think that, at one point, the idea for Yellowstone was… just an idea. That’s how every great thing starts, and as we all know, Sheridan’s TV series grew into something bigger than itself… literally. The flagship series Yellowstone has spawned multiple spinoffs (1883, 1923), and collectively, they’re all considered to be some of the most popular and most watched shows on television.
That singular idea for Yellowstone continues to produce fruitful branches, and by that, I mean there are even more spinoffs on the way.
We’ve known that shows like Dutton Ranch, The Madison, The Marshals, and 1944 are on the way following the wraps of the main Yellowstone show and the two other spinoffs (1883, 1923). But one thing we haven’t been so sure on are the release dates for those upcoming shows.
Now, thanks to an earnings call that Paramount Global recently held, we have a timeline of the Yellowstone spinoffs that are still to come. Chris McCarthy, the Co-CEO of Paramount Global, had this to say during a portion of his speaking time:
“Turning to ‘Yellowstone,’ the series remains the number one star driver and the number one engagement driver for us internationally. And the momentum will continue as we expand the franchise with three new series, starting with the ‘Dutton Ranch,’ which will premiere globally in Q4.
That’s followed by the franchise’s first procedural, ‘The Marshals,’ premiering on CBS and next day on Paramount plus globally starting in Q1 of twenty twenty six. And later next year, the anthology series will continue with the next chapter, ‘1944.’”
Translation: Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler’s Dutton Ranch will premiere in late 2025 (between September and December), Kacey Dutton’s The Marshals will premiere in early 2026 (between January and April), and 1944 will air later in 2026.
The only Yellowstone spinoff that’s believed to be in the works that wasn’t mentioned in the earnings call was The Madison, which from the very beginning has had the great Michelle Pfeiffer attached. It was originally supposed to air later in 2025, or early in 2026, and is reportedly began production last year. So if anything, we are going to likely see FOUR new Yellowstone spinoffs in the next year and a half or so? Does Taylor Sheridan sleep? Sure doesn’t seem like it, and we’re just talking about Yellowstone right now.
If you happen to like Taylor Sheridan shows outside of the Yellowstone universe, more of those are also coming later in 2026. It’s almost unfathomable to think about how many plates Sheridan currently has spinning, and how he continues to not miss whatsoever.
The earnings call reported on some of those other Taylor Sheridan project by providing these updates:
“And in August sees the first ever ‘NCIS’ streaming extension with Tony and Ziva, followed by Taylor Sheridan’s powerful slate of originals starting with ‘Tulsa King’ in September, then ‘Mayor Kingstown’ in October. Last year’s smash hit, ‘Landman,’ returns in November.”
Could one call 2025 “The Year of the Sheridan?” If someone argued against it, they’d probably only do so with 2026 in mind. The next two years are going to be chock-full of TV shows and entertainment products that Sheridan has his hands in.
And you won’t see me complaining about that one bit. Well, my only complaint might be that I need more time in the day to stay up to date with all of the latest programs from the mind of Taylor Sheridan…
