Most Polite Armed Robber Of All Time Tells 7-Eleven Clerk To “Have A Good Night”

At least he was being polite?

Last week, a 7-Eleven cashier in Los Angeles got held up by an armed suspect-but instead of threats or violence, the robber calmly asked for money and called the cashier “bro”, telling him to “have a good night” before leaving with the money. Of course the internet would blow up a literal armed robbery with half a million laughing emojis.

The whole interaction is super funny and unusual-no finger on the trigger, calm voice, lots of awkward pauses.

Of course-the comments are gold:

“Finger never on the trigger, being polite to the cashier, wishing him a good night. I give this robbery 5/5.”

With almost two million likes on Tiktok, people couldn’t decide if they wanted to laugh, cry, or hire this man for customer service training.

Comments poured in:

“That robber was raised right”

“Have a good night after robbing someone is absolutely diabolical”

“The robber is nicer than most customers, honestly”

“He’s just a chill dude going through hard times.”

“Bro had manners”

“Bros so polite they blurred his face to protect him”

“”He tried to fist bump mid-robbery”

But apparently, this isn’t the first time an interaction like this has happened. The Los Angeles Police Department says this wasn’t a one-off “Disney Channel robber”.

The suspect was later ID’d as Jacuri Tobias, 21, along with a 15-year-old and 17-year-old, was arrested in connection to a string of armed robberies that hit multiple gas stations across LA, Baldwin Park, and Pasadena, all on the same day, April 18.

One suspect is even still on the run…so it’s not as nice as it seemed to be. Investigators are still asking for help finding other possible victims, but people thought it was funny that they blurred the robbers face in the viral video.

Still, the footage itself has taken over. People have lots of names for what went on:

“The Disney Channel Original Movie of robberies”

“Polite demanding, not robbery”

“GTA side mission energy”

“The most peaceful stickup in history.”

Lots had things to say about the robbers gun safety skills, noticing his finger stayed off the trigger, and the gun as pointed down most of the time:

“Bro had better trigger discipline than half the cops.”

“Respectfully robbing you with zero threat posture.”

At the end of the day, it wasn’t good, but no one was hurt. At least we got something to laugh about.

“When you destroy the economy, you create crime. Good people doing bad things to survive.”

“He was about two seconds away from saying ‘thank you for your service.'”

“Honestly? This is the only robbery where I’d leave a tip.”

“Bro traumatized me but was nice about it… mixed emotions.”

“Reasonable man forced to do unreasonable things.”

“Bro really said ‘please’ with a Glock”

“He said ‘have a good night’… like sir you just traumatized me.”

“The robber is nicer than most customers, honestly”

“Polite robbery. Respectful thievery. Civilized crime.”
