Last night, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown was fully introduced to the city of brotherly love.
I feel it’s okay for me to talk about Philadelphia because my wife and her family are from Delaware County. Sure, it’s not downtown but it’s right there and for most intents and purposes… It’s Philly. Kind of like saying where I live in Northern Virginia isn’t DC. Like, you’re technically correct but it’s still pretty clearly DC…
Anyway, AJ Brown got his car stolen last night. Yes, the same AJ Brown that helped lead the Eagles to a dominant Super Bowl win over the much vaunted Kansas City Chiefs in February. The same guy that repped the city (despite rumors that he was unhappy) and put up over a thousand yards and 7 touchdowns on a run dominant football team while sharing the wide receiver spotlight with DeVonta Smith.
The guy who changed an author’s life by reading his book, Inner Excellence, on the sidelines, sending it sky rocketing to number one on Amazon!
Even he couldn’t forever be shielded from some of the ongoings of the City of Brotherly love.
Early this morning, he made a post on X/Twitter, saying:
“Dear Philly- To whoever stole my car last night, I’ll make a deal with you…. Bring back my car and I won’t press charges, or when I find you today, it’s going to be what it’s going to be. Take it or leave it my guy.”
Dear Philly-
To whoever stole my car last night, I’ll make a deal with you….
Bring back my car and I won’t press charges, or when I find you today, it’s going to be what it’s going to be.

He followed this up with an Instagram story, saying much of the same thing:
“Come on Philly, come on man, you stole my whip last night, come on man.
I’ll make a deal with you bro. To whoever you are, which Imma find out soon, I’ll make a deal with you bro just bring the whip back bro. I won’t press charges bro just bring the whip back and you can go on about your day.
But if I find you… it’s gonna be what it’s gonna be. And I’m gonna come in the interrogation room, I might seat box you my boy. Like, I’m on that.”

Gotta respect him for giving the guy credit for being fast and smooth with the theft but I’m going to go on a limb and say AJ Brown is faster, and stronger, and bigger, than whoever it was that took the car. He’s listed at 6’1″ and 226 pounds with a 4.49 second forty yard dash… Not many dudes on the street are going to be able to handle all that coming at you, plus, AJ’s known to be one of the most physical players in the hyper-physical NFL, so dude, just bring the car back…
The crazy thing about Philly though, I can see the cops being such big Birds fans that they’d actually let AJ go into the interrogation room… I know every city claims to have the most die-hard fans, and while some teams can make a case, I don’t think any even get into the realm of Eagles fans. These people are NUTS and never afraid to fight, curse, scream, or do literally whatever to prove that they’re the most Philly of them all. The bragging rights the cops would get at the local bars for letting AJ get in a few swings at the car thief would easily be worth whatever reprimand they might get from the brass, which would probably be a slap on the wrist because let’s be honest, the captains and lieutenants of the Philly police are probably even bigger Birds fans…
Bring the car back or catch AJ Brown’s hands… Those are the options.
