Kanye West is about to get the Swifties fired up.
Given the dark depths he’s gotten into on his Twitter rants, it’s hard for anyone to justify supporting Kanye West. Hell, even his wife made a statement after he shared his WW3 album cover, which is blatantly antisemitic, that she does not support his content.
“LOVE DOESN’T MEAN BLIND AGREEMENT. YE’S LATEST ALBUM GLORIFIES NARRATIVES I CANNOT & WILL NOT ENDORSE. WHILE I RESPECT HIM AS A PERSON, I REFUSE TO PROMOTE CONTENT THAT FUELS ANTISEMITISM OR PRAISES HISTORY’S DARKEST MOMENTS. SOME LINES SHOULD NEVER BE CROSSED.”
It honestly amazes me every day that Kanye can still post on his Twitter given the content matter, but alas, here we are. In Ye’s most recent Twitter rant, he is going off about the amazing artist he is, comparing himself to God.
I am by faaaaaaar the greatest lving artist Gotta get to greatest of all time before I’m gone
I mean I am
But I still got heads to rip off They have to understand I am a God

But for an artist who is so accomplished like Ye, one accomplishment is holding him back, and at this rate, I don’t think it will ever be offered to him. Kanye West has never performed during the Super Bowl halftime show. Now, I think at one point in his career, when he was releasing music like “Gold Digger,” “Heartless,” or “Stronger,” Ye could have been a serious contender for the halftime show.
However, over the last few years, his actions have not aligned with the creation of a family-friendly show. I think his Grammy stunt alone was enough to keep him from ever securing a halftime show, but given his Tweets lately, I am sure the selection committee has added his name to the “never performing even if hell freezes over” list.
However, Ye shared in a since-deleted Tweet that he does not think any of his recent actions have kept him from performing at the halftime show; rather, there are three major moments.
“I never was allowed to do the Super Bowl because of three moments. George Bush don’t care about Black people. The Taylor Swift movement moment. Wearing a MAGA hat.”
Still lingering on that Taylor Swift drama, eh?
Of course, these two have a very rocky history starting in 2009 when Ye stormed onto the VMAs stage, interrupting Swift’s speech with the now-infamous phrase:
“Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time!”

After that phrase, West apologized publicly, and everyone thought that they were on the track to smoothing things over, until 2013 when Ye revoked his apology to Swift, saying that he had no regrets for what he said that night. Then the two seemed cool again until Ye released his track “Famous” with the infamous lyric, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that b*tch famous.”
That then started a feud with Ye and his then-wife, Kim Kardashian, saying that Swift knew about the lyrics and approved them, but Swift made it seem as though that was not the case. There was drama surrounding West and Kardashian defending themselves against Swift all the way through 2020, which Swift refers to all of that drama as her “career death.”
“That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before. I moved to a foreign country. I didn’t leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid to get on phone calls. I pushed away most people in my life because I didn’t trust anyone anymore. I went down really, really hard.”
While it seemed as though everyone had moved on from the drama, minus Swifties because we all know they can hold a grudge, it appears that is not the case, given it still lives rent-free in Ye’s head. After sharing that he felt those three significant moments had kept him from the halftime stage, he clearly still holds a lot of hate for Swift sharing some bombs about her life in some now-deleted posts.

OOF… I usually am not a Swiftie fan, but I am on their side here. She’s been living her life, and he’s just going off on her and saying crazy statements surrounding her life. I think Ye blocked himself from the Super Bowl, and now he’s using Taylor Swift as the scapegoat. Then again, does anything Kanye say make sense lately? “Delusions of grandeur” doesn’t begin to describe it…
Check out some of their commentary on this matter.

I truly hope Taylor gets Kanye‘s ass into jail forever. No return, just rotting. We need to stop giving him a platform as well though.
