Immediately I’m turning on Kenny Chesney and packing my bags.
Apparently, there’s a tropical island off the coast of Columbia called Corona Island, and it just opened to the public. And the one and only thing you need to know? Staying there comes with UNLIMITED CORONA BEER.
So of course, when people are seeing this headline come across their feeds on social media, they are not scrolling past:
Discover the vibrant flavors of Corona Island. Each dish, crafted by top chefs, showcases local ingredients and rich Caribbean culture.

Free beer island? Not an April Fools joke. I already checked. And I did some more research into this place so y’all don’t have to.
Corona Island is about 12 miles southwest of Cartagena, and is a part of the Rosario Islands -basically the Maldives of Columbia, but if the Maldives had an insane amount of cold beer. But why is that?
It’s because it is owned by AB InBev, who are the same folks that brew Corona beer, and the whole island is just like a big advertisement for Corona. And it’s working.
The bungalows run about $658 a night and the all-inclusive day passes are $163. (So start saving now!) Pretty pricey. But again…unlimited beer. It’s pretty hard to see past that.
On one post, there was a poll on whether people are sold on going for the unlimited beer, with over 50 thousand votes saying yes. The comments section was expectedly filled with excited beer bros and people booking flights:
“If I take a group of four of my well acclimated bar homes, the unlimited option will never be a thing again”
“One million beers”
“Tell me it comes with free tequila and maybe we’ll talk”
“The alcoholic in my just bought tickets”
“Hope they’re ready for a couple white bois speaking spanish”
“@corona how do I get here”
“So I can start drinking at 7 am ???”
“Challenge Accepted”
“I’ll have a beer…all of em”
“F***ing sign me up!!!!”
“Unlimited Limes?”
“Love a lock down right there”
My personal favorite was from someone who apparently stayed there, commenting with his five star review:
“I was on the first overnight trip here. We stayed a week. I drank 155 Coronas. It was magical”
I still don’t really believe this is a real place, but it’s got to be one of the best marketing schemes I’ve seen from a beer brand. I’ve got to hear more about this place to believe it’s real.
All I’m gonna say is that I’m glad it’s Corona Island, because if Busch Light ever dropped its own island, we’d be in serious trouble. We need it.
