Ashton Hall, Influencer Behind Viral Morning Routine Video, Compares Himself To Jesus Christ, Doesn’t Realize Whole World Is Laughing At Him

Alright… we may have gone too far with this whole social media influencer thing.

It’s the profession (?) that’s seemingly taken over the world. 20 years ago, if you were to ask a kid what they wanted to be when they grew up, you’d hear things like, “Doctor,” “Firefighter,” or even “Professional Athlete.” Nowadays, when kids are asked what they aspire to be, the two most popular answers you’ll hear are “YouTuber/Streamer” or “Social Media Influencer.”

We’ve failed the younger generation, haven’t we?

Scroll on social media for even two minutes and you’ll likely come across a category of video called “Start Your Day With Me.” It’s increasingly popular (though I don’t get it or care for it), and it just consists of a person recording themselves doing mundane, human activities. To be honest, I’m not the person to ask about when it comes to these videos, because I just scroll right past them so that I don’t waste any more of my time.

And if you don’t live under a rock, there’s a specific “routine video” that’s going mega viral right now. Ashton Hall, a social media influencer and online fitness coach, posted a video back on February 7th that was titled “Day 191 of the Morning Routine That Changed My Life.” This routine consists of waking up super early, dunking his face in iced water multiple times, doing a Bible study, journaling, working out, going for a swim, and various other activities.

To be clear, no one is knocking the man for taking care of his health and prioritizing time in his day to better himself. Well, maybe some people are…

Hall’s over-the-top routine that gets started at 3:52 in the morning had people leaving comments like this:

“Me if I was unemployed.”

“I wish someone would cook for me after I do my cute lil journaling, girly skin care routines and lil gym sessions… but I’m an adult.”

“You could wake up at 6 a.m. and still do the same things.”

If you haven’t seen it yet, here it is:

@ashtonhallofficialDay 191 of the morning routine that changed my life 3:50am to 9:30am Sin lives late at night.. if you’re dealing with a weak mind, bad decisions, or lack of productivity go to sleep early. 4:00am – 8:00am no one’s calling or distracting your productivity.. they are sleep. 8:00pm – 12:00am is the opposite. Just try 30 days.. send this to your partners. It’s time to do better.♬ original sound – Worthy Supps

Pretty wild, right?

There’s a good chance you’ve seen this video elsewhere. I first saw it on X/Twitter, and people were just as ruthless in the comments over there (one person commented “This man gets up at 4 in the morning to do 5 sets of dilly-dallying”). And on TikTok, the video you just watched – if you got through the whole thing – has 99 million views.

But there’s another video that Ashton Hall posted (just a day later actually) that should be getting an equal amount of attention. The influencer recorded himself sitting in his vehicle addressing the fact that people online were “copying his videos.” As if he invented the type of video where you just film your personal routine and post it for the whole world to see?

Hall called out the duplicates that were being sent to him, and managed to spin it all into a motivational message:

“I came here to address the nonsense. So many video are being sent to me (that are) duplicates of my videos. This is for the creators that are sick and tired of their work being copied. Listen to me well. You’re either going to be a leader or a follower. And it’s okay to be either one, but you have to choose.”

Again… not sure you can call people “copycats” when you don’t own the copyright to filming yourself workout and dunking your head in ice water. You’re a meme, dude… people are making fun of you.

Hall went on to say that he felt as though God chose him to be a leader in the world, and that he coped with the copycats by blocking anyone that was doing anything similar to him.

Then, in what appears to be all seriousness, he compared himself to Jesus Christ:

“Why do the same thing as me? What is up? Then I realized, like, people follow Jesus. Why? Because he was great. As a Christian man, why are you angry if they’re following you? Matter of fact, if you’re doing something good with good intention, this should be a great thing. If people are doing what you’re doing, after they see what you’re doing is working for you, then you are doing something right.”

@ashtonhallofficialThe truth about stealing content. So many messages about people taking “my work” .. felt the message was necessary to drop. God bless ❤

Jesus….

To be clear, I’m not using the Jesus’ name in vein there. I’m saying it as in “Jesus? This guy thinks he’s like Jesus? As in THE Jesus Christ?” That’s a stretch if I’ve ever seen one. And there for a second, I thought I might have just been overreacting a bit… but luckily, I saw that the comment section was feeling much of the same after watching the TikTok:

“Bud thinks he the main character.”

“Did bro just subtly just compare himself to Jesus?”

“I don’t think bro knows he’s a meme, not that people are copying him.”

“This has to be rage bait.”

“‘I’m not perfect’ then compares himself to Jesus.”

“Bro thinks he’s better than us.”

“This idiot did not just compare himself to Jesus.”
