Jimmy Kimmel Slammed For Seeming To Encourage People To Vandalize Tesla Vehicles

Late night hosts have to find a way to keep the ratings up.

For Jimmy Kimmel, he tried and true trick is inserting himself into public controversy. Remember when he and Aaron Rodgers got into a huge feud that started in 2023 and spilled into 2024? Well now, the host of Jimmy Kimmel Live! is sticking his nose in the Tesla and Elon Musk conversation.

Recently, Tesla dealerships, charging stations and the owners of the vehicles themselves have come under attack from individuals that don’t see eye to eye with the Republican party (some might call them Democrats). There’s been a string of vandalism and terrorism targeted at Tesla, which was of course founded by billionaire and now close Trump advisor Elon Musk.

Why are people scratching, keying, and setting fire to Tesla vehicles? Well, it seems to be due to Elon Musk – the CEO of Tesla – playing a big role in Trump’s second administration. While Musk is also fulfilling his duties as the CEO of SpaceX and the owner of Twitter/X, the billionaire is also heading up Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which is tasked with reducing government spending, eliminating waste, and shrinking the size of government.

And now, the people who oppose Musk’s involvement in the government (since he’s not an elected government official) are striking back by burning and destroying the brand of car that Musk is associated with. On the flip side, the Republic party – who have historically learned more towards gas-powered vehicles – have been buying up Tesla cars like they are going out of style. It’s honestly an ironic heel turn from both parties, though one side is vandalizing and terrorizing, while the other is just buying… there’s a noticeable gulf.

It shouldn’t come as that big of a surprise that well-known hack like Jimmy Kimmel is relishing in the fact that Tesla stock has been plummeting and that people are destroying the vehicles that Elon Musk’s Tesla created. Though the late night host is now facing some backlash, because it sure seemed like he encouraged people to continue destroying and vandalizing Teslas during his most recent monologue.

Since sarcasm doesn’t come through well through text, I can assure you that he said the last line as sarcastically as possible:

“Tesla’s stock is way down, almost disastrously so. People have been vandalizing Tesla vehicles – new Tesla vehicles. Please don’t vandalize… don’t ever vandalize Tesla vehicles.”

Because of those comments, many are calling for Elon Musk to sue Jimmy Kimmel, his washed up late night program, and the network of ABC. Some are even calling for Kimmel to be fired from his position as late night host for inciting violence.

And as you might imagine, Kimmel’s sarcastic call for people to “not vandalize Teslas” has gotten the social media world fired up:
