March Madness always has a knack for creating stars.
This year, the leader in the clubhouse (that’s a golf term/metaphor, please forgive me) is Grand Canyon University Women’s Basketball head coach Molly Miller. The 38-year-old has been coaching at GCU since 2020, and she’s really got the Antelopes running this year.
The Springfield, Missouri native was named the Western Athletic Conference Coach of the Year after leading her Grand Canyon team to a 32-2 record. And she first started going viral online when the NCAA March Madness account on X posted this video of the prolific head coach in action at practice:
I’ve never been so locked in to a 1:27 long video in my life. Molly Miller had me shaking my head listening like I was in the huddle

Always cool to get a behind-the-scenes look at a coach at work.
Fast forward to the Western Athletic Conference Tournament, and Molly Miller and the Grand Canyon Antelopes continued their winning ways. As the one-seed in the WAC, the team took care of business in their first two games (winning both matchups by more than 20 points), and then squeaked out a tough win in the championship game against UT Arlington.
GCU won the WAC in a tightly contested face-off that saw the Antelopes come out on top by just three points. Though it was a thin margin of victory, Molly and her team celebrated accordingly afterwards:
Freezing….but worth it!

Nothing like dancing into the Big Dance.
And just to be transparent, anytime that GCU or the NCCA March Madness account has posted about Molly Miller, the post has done numbers. Clearly there are some people out there online that are meeting the talented head coach for the first time, and they must just really appreciate greatness.
I can assure you that other colleges across the country have definitely taken notice of the Grand Canyon coach. Molly Miller’s success with the Antelopes has resulted in interest from big programs like Arkansas and Arizona State. She’s believed to have her pick of either job once she wraps things up this year at GCU:
Grand Canyon head coach Molly Miller is the top candidate for the Arkansas job, and is deciding between the Hogs and Arizona State, per @primetimeMitch.
GCU is 30-2 (16-0) this season, and Miller has won 20+ games in 4 of 5 seasons with the Lopes. Springfield, MO native. pic.twitter.com/XytX4AjLgk

Alright… I’ve tiptoed around this long enough.
Yes, Molly Miller is getting some attention because she’s a successful coach that keeps racking up wins and looks to be heading towards some Madness in March. But she’s also become a social media darling because she looks a whole lot like gymnast and influencer Olivia Dunne, AKA Livvy. Go into the comment section of any post about Molly (just a warning, it gets weird) and that’s what people are clamoring about:
Is that not livvy dunne

Hate to break it to you all… Molly Miller is married. Feel free to still be a big fan of her coaching though.
