Is this the same grumpy Bill Belichick we all knew as coach of the New England Patriots?
The legendary coach was well-known for being all business on the sideline…and in the locker room and when dealing with the media. But it seems like the 72-year old is finally starting to let his hair down a little bit…thanks to his (much younger) new girlfriend.
Belichick was named the head coach at UNC at the end of last season, his first ever college coaching gig. And he’s also gotten younger when it comes to his dating game too: The coach is dating 24-year old Jordon Hudson, a 24-year old former cheerleader that Belichick reportedly met on a flight in 2021.
According to sources, the couple exchanged information after sitting near each other on the plane, and kept in contact by discussing things like her school work and cheerleading routines. (Wouldn’t you love to hear Bill Belichick talking to a 20-something year old about cheerleading? That had to have been an incredible conversation).
And they seem to be happy together. Just this past week, Hudson shared photos of a romantic date night the couple shared together in Florida while on spring break together, joking that she was “popping Billy’s Swifty’s cherry” as they dined at Palm Beach restaurant Swifty’s.
But that’s not all that they’ve been up to on spring break. Today, Hudson shared photos of the couple doing some beach yoga (or maybe she was teaching him some cheerleading stunts?), with the coach laying on his back while holding his girlfriend up with his legs.

Just incredible. Is this the same Belichick we all knew? Maybe we didn’t really know him after all…
Of course the comments on the photos ranged from “this is weird” to “hell yeah, coach.”
“Is this not weird as fuck?”
“What happened to our Bill Belichick???”
“I’m loving this new Bill”
“If we had this version of BB a few years ago we would have won another Super Bowl with Gronk and Brady”
“He is enjoying life with you!”
“Awww I used to do this with my daughters when they were little too!”
“Spring break with grandpa”
“Coach is out here living his best life”
But it’s not like they haven’t heard the jokes about their age gap before. If you’re bad at math, Belichick is 48 years older than his new romantic partner. (Just for context, Belichick became head coach of the Patriots in 2000 – the year Hudson was born).
And just a few weeks ago, NFL Honors host Snoop Dogg poked fun at the age difference during his monologue with the couple in attendance:
“I’ve been a football fan for a long, long time. I mean, I remember back when the Cowboys was good. I remember when the Chiefs was bad. And I remember, what was it, Bill Belichick’s girlfriend wasn’t even born yet.”

They’re apparently not bothered by it though. Hudson continues to share photos of the two together, and according to emails that surfaced this week, Belichick has even requested that his girlfriend be copied on all emails related to UNC’s social media and marketing – so apparently he’s hired her to help out with the program in some capacity.

Live your best life Bill. Do beach yoga with a girl who’s young enough to be your daughter. Let your hair down. After six Super Bowl rings, you deserve it.
