They are still ugly.
We’ve seen people do a lot to a Cybertruck, like Joe Rogan trying to put an arrow through it, a man parading around a dead deer carcass on the back of it, and a Facebook Marketplace seller trying to pawn off his vintage “1998 Tesla Cybertruck” to a new owner. But this is the first time that I’ve seen a Cybertruck owner try to make the truck portion of the car more functional.
With a towing capacity slightly greater than an F150’s, although it might not look like your typical towing vehicle, a Cybertruck can haul a good amount of goods. However, I think something that’s turning traditional truck owners away from buying a Cybertruck is that the truckbed is not like your traditional truck. Not to mention that most folks driving trucks don’t need all of the fancy bells and whistles that Teslas have.
However, one Tesla owner is trying to make their Cybertruck more functional by putting a truck cap on the back of their electric vehicle. Initially posted by a Twitter user named @trippykay710, the image made its way to Reddit and then to a larger Twitter account, @LadyDumplings, where the image gained viral attention.
The original poster shared the image of the hatchback-looking Tesla, noting that they did not think the Cybertruck could get any uglier…but sure enough, it did.

Once the image gained viral attention, many users began commenting that it feels like we are reversing time and that the Cybertruck resembles a Pontiac Aztek. Was this your inspiration, Elon?
I guess I admire this Cybertruck owner for trying to make the car a little more “normal” looking and giving it some added functionality, but something about this looks so wrong.
Check out what the folks on Twitter are saying about it. The comments are split between people loving it and hating it, just like people feel about the Cybertruck in general, so this response is very on brand.
Tesla is slowly approaching the final form Pontiac perfected years ago. https://t.co/tSrQgyRVIz pic.twitter.com/x09qFU1veM
