Zach Bryan’s ex-girlfriend and Barstool Sports personality Brianna LaPaglia, AKA Brianna Chickenfry, is… once again… going in-depth on the her huge breakup from Zach Bryan, which made headlines in November after she went on her BFF’s podcast and revealed a lot about their relationship. It painted him in a not-so-great light, and many of the stories went viral, particularly the one about her Golden Globes dress and why she turned down a $12 million NDA from him.
And shocker… she’s still talking about it. I suppose she’s gotta get her money’s worth after rejecting that NDA, huh? I digress…
In a new interview with Elite Daily, Brianna reflected on the whole controversy and how it ultimately changed her life:
“I can’t really fathom it or grasp it, but when I meet people in real life, it feels like, ‘Holy sh*t! So many people follow me and I’m actually a public figure.’ But online, it still feels not real. I feel like it’s just my diary.”
She explained that all of her decisions about the breakup, and speaking so publicly and in detail about her ex, were just her “trusting her intuition.” Brianna called it the “proudest” moment of her life, and says she still gets messages from women who relate to her story. She’s happy she shared her story because of that, but added that she can’t look back the episode to this day because of how “sad” she was:
“I always trusted my intuition and my gut, and I did it for me. It was a selfish moment where I was like, ‘I’m doing this for me, and I’m taking me back.’ That will always be one of the proudest moments in my life. Still, I can’t look back at that episode — I can’t even look at that girl — it’s a sad time of my life.”
Brianna has since discussed the possibility of dating women now, though she still isn’t ready for a true relationship:
“I feel so emotionally unavailable, which is a little upsetting. There have been some really great guys that I think would be amazing for me, but I’m emotionally f****d up right now, where I can’t even fathom the idea of letting someone in.”
She says she was “with someone who was my biggest hater,” while she tried to be his “biggest fan,” and obviously that didn’t work out. When she gets into another relationship, she wants it to be much more balanced:
“I was really with someone who was my biggest hater, and I was their biggest fan. So I want it to be reciprocated. I just want a normal person that can laugh with me, and someone that understands my life, but isn’t in the same realm.”
And it sounds like she has already had some ladies reaching out to her…
“There were actually some kind of famous women reaching out to me, and I was like, ‘What? I didn’t even know you were gay.’ I feel like I’m late to the game, and it’s really intimidating. I’m 25, I’m going to go on my first date with a girl? Everyone in New York is a lesbian, so they’ve been doing it forever.”
We still haven’t really heard much from Zach in terms of his side of the story, but he’s been vocal about how much he’s hated the attention on his personal life, so I don’t think we’ll ever hear his version of what happened.
Brianna has already been spotted with different guys over the last few months, so who knows what her next move will be. I think pretty much everyone is tired of hearing about it at this point, but she created a ton of buzz with talking about it initially, and even found herself on the cover of the Sports Illustrated digital edition, so I imagine it might be a while before it fully ends.
