Where’s Brent Musburger when you need him?
When it comes to horny college sports announcers, Musburger is in the hall of fame. Obviously he had the famous moment during the 2013 BCS National Championship Game when he couldn’t stop talking about Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron’s girlfriend Katherine Webb, but that was far from his only horny moment in the booth.

And I absolutely would have loved to hear what Musburger would have had to say about this one.
During a college baseball game yesterday between Coastal Carolina and Eastern Carolina, the ESPN+ cameras caught a couple of young ladies enjoying the game – or rather, taking selfies during the game, which is what a lot of students spend their time at college sporting events doing these days.
But as the cameras were focused on the duo, one of the girls decided to get a selfie from a…well, lower angle.
She turned and took what appeared to be a selfie of her butt, as the amused announcers appeared to be caught off guard:
“Selfie time for some, looks like some Chanticleer fans…
Ok, obviously her glasses are not reading glasses because she had ’em down where…
Interesting photo she took there.”

And look, I’m sure these announcers were just trying to keep their job. But I’m dying to hear Brent Musburger call this scene. It would have been an absolute work of art, no doubt one of the horniest moments of the year in college sports. I mean, just look at what he had to say about Katherine Webb, who was just sitting in the stands NOT taking pictures of her own ass:
“When you’re a quarterback at Alabama – you see that lovely lady there? She does go to Auburn…but she also is Miss Alabama and that’s A.J. McCarron’s girlfriend, ok?
Wow, I’m telling you, you quarterbacks, you get all the good-looking women. What a beautiful woman. Wow. So if you’re a youngster in Alabama, start getting the football out and throwing it around the backyard with pops.”
Pure poetry.
Of course Musburger got a lot of criticism for the remarks, with ESPN issuing an apology while Webb insisted that he had nothing to apologize for:
“The fact he said we were beautiful and gorgeous, I don’t see why any woman wouldn’t be flattered by that. You know, I don’t think it was needed, honestly.’’
But luckily, the comments overshadowed what turned out to be a blowout loss for Notre Dame in the championship game – something Musburger joked about with then-Irish coach Brian Kelly:
“Coach Kelly, who I know very well now down at LSU, having left Notre Dame, I still tease him that when he got blown out by Alabama in that national championship game, I took all the heat off him because I called a beauty queen beautiful.
I was the villain that night, in the eyes of the media, especially the woke journalists of some of the papers around the country. I say, ‘Coach, you’d have been under the gun if it wasn’t for me.’ He laughs. He’s a good old politician, we’ll see what he does.”
It seems these announcers from the Coastal Carolina/ECU game learned from Musburger’s “mistake” and decided to play it safe as girls were taking butt selfies. But man, they missed the opportunity for an iconic moment.
