JD Vance Blasts Ukraine Protestors Harassing Him While Out With His 3-Year Old Daughter: “You’re A Sh*t Person”

Imagine harassing a guy out with his toddler and thinking you’re the good guy.

Obviously tensions are high surrounding the war in Ukraine, especially after last week’s tense Oval Office meeting between President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

What was supposed to be a ceremonial meeting to sign an agreement that would provide security to Ukraine and take a step forward towards bringing an end to their war with Russia ended in a shouting match when Zelenskyy began to argue with Trump and Vance – and the vice president didn’t appreciate it:

Trump ended up kicking Zelenskyy out of the White House, no agreement was signed, and the Ukrainian president has spent the last week frantically trying to salvage their relationship with the United States – a relationship that’s vital to the country’s survival.

It was one of the bigger political miscalculations I’ve ever seen. All Zelenskyy had to do was walk in, thank the United States, smile and take some questions, sign the agreement, and be on their way. But instead he decided to argue with Trump and Vance in the Oval Office, and it blew up in his face.

But anyway, apparently some pro-Ukraine protestors still aren’t happy about how the meeting went down…not because of what Zelenskyy did, but because of JD Vance. Talk about rewriting history…

According to the Vice President, he was confronted today by a group of the protestors today while he was out with his 3-year old daughter.

Vance says that his daughter was becoming “increasingly anxious and scared,” so he decided to engage with the protestors in conversation so that hopefully they would leave him alone. He says that after speaking to them, most of them left his toddler alone. But he also had a message for the group that was harassing him while he was out with his small child:

“You’re a shit person.”

Seems like an understatement.

Of course there’s been a long-standing norm that the minor children of politicians are off-limits, but it seems like that’s being broken more and more as our society becomes more hostile and divided. There were frequent attacks on Barron Trump during his father’s first term, despite the fact that he stayed largely out of the spotlight before he turned 18 and went off to college.

JD Vance and his wife, Second Lady Usha Vance, have three small children with 7-year old Ewan, 5-year old Vivek, and 3-year old Mirabel. And the kids stole the show during the inauguration parade, doing exactly what children do and being completely uninterested in the ceremonies going on around them.

And listen, I get wanting to protest or make your point directly to elected officials. But JD Vance is also a dad, and his 3-year old daughter has nothing to do with the country’s Ukraine policy. She deserves safety and security and as normal of a childhood as she can get, and harassing a dad while he’s out with his daughter is completely beyond the pale.

But I guess that’s just where we are as a society right now.

It was a mostly respectful conversation, but if you’re chasing a 3-year-old as part of a political protest, you’re a shit person.”
