I wonder why they keep losing elections.
Democrats have been having a rough time lately, trying to figure out how to move forward from their embarrassing losses in the 2024 presidential election. There’s been a lot of talk about why they lost the presidency as well as the House of Representatives and the Senate, and what they need to do to turn things around in 2026 and beyond.
One thing that made a difference during the presidential election was President Donald Trump’s podcast strategy, appearing on several of the most popular podcasts with guys like Joe Rogan, Theo Von and more. Meanwhile, Kamala Harris never did any interviews that were unscripted or without limits, giving the impression that she was unable to hold a normal conversation.
And of course the Democrats just can’t seem to act like regular people. They tried to call JD Vance “weird,” but then you have guys like Senator Chuck Schumer who post clearly-staged pictures of the worst cookout you’ve ever seen in an awkward attempt at trying to appear relatable.
Senator Chuck Schumer roasted online after posing for a photo grilling burgers on a barbecue.

Most recently, they decided to make a scene during President Donald Trump’s joint address to Congress these week by…wearing pink and holding up signs that immediately got turned into memes:

It seems like everything they do these days just comes across cringeworthy and inauthentic. And their latest effort is no different.
In a video posted to TikTok, several female Democrat members of the House of Representatives came together for a “choose your fighter” video that could not have been more awkward – or less relatable to voters.
The video, posted by influencer Sulhee Jessica Woo, features Congresswomen like AOC, Judy Chu and Jasmine Crockett showing off their “strengths and weaknesses” as they awkwardly pose Mortal Kombat-style like they’re ready for a street fight.
Yeah, it’s as cringy as it sounds:
@sulheejessica Chose your fighter
#womenshistorymonth #womenwhofight #fighter #savedemocracy #speakup #girls #girlpower
And judging by the comments, I’m not the only one suffering from secondhand embarrassment just from watching it:
“This is so embarrassing. Can the Democrats figure out a way to dig themselves into a deeper credibility hole. These are not serious people.”
“Why won’t men vote for us?”
“They just keep making fools of themselves. Might as well forget about winning any midterms. Dems messaging isn’t working after the show they put on in the house chamber Wednesday.”
Even the White House mocked the video with their rapid response account over on Twitter:
Democrats Not Be Cringe Challenge.

And the rest of the responses were equally as brutal:
I have such secondhand embarrassment as a woman

That’s a double cringer.

So coming off the embarrassment Tuesday night, Democrats thought another tone deaf stunt (Choose your fighter) would make them appear to be what? Cool? Authentic? Caring? This is a job for @IfindRetards pic.twitter.com/cA8ZVMO9sF

One of the worst parts about this: the Choose Your Fighter trend was popular on TikTok like 3 years ago https://t.co/7GqWfqd7M7

I mean, full disclosure, I’m fine with Democrats continuing to do this kind of stuff, because it’s clearly not resonating with voters. But you’d think that somebody involved with this would have stepped back and thought that maybe this isn’t how you connect with young people.
It’s really no wonder that the left is struggling to get their message across when this is the kind of thing that they think will help make their case.
I think this tweet (from a Democrat) sums it up best:
We are the party of hall monitors, theater kids, the HR department, and passive-aggressive signs. Not a single drop of testosterone in the entire party infrastructure https://t.co/BT0lNaJyoF

Not sure the “Choose Your Fighter” video is going to do anything to fix the problem.
