Bucking Bronco Throws Rider, Bites Him, & Tosses Him Around Like Rag Doll At Utah Rodeo

That’s one mean bronc.

There is no denying that rodeoing is not for the weak. The strain events like bareback broncs, saddled broncs, and bull riding define pushing yourself to the limit. Not only is it physically demanding to keep yourself upright on these bucking animals, but the risk of injury when you take a fall is very high.

On top of all these risks, some particular bucking stock have a reputation for being mean, big, bucking machines. When a cowboy draws a specific name, they know they must be on their A game to make it to 8 seconds. But if they can, they are likely guaranteed a jackpot winning score from the judges.

But one thing bucking stock riders don’t think about is the chance they get bitten and manhandled by the livestock they are on.

Well, after seeing this viral video, it’s honestly a valid concern because as a fan of rodeo sports for many years, I’ve seen a lot of wild sh*t, and this one takes the cake.

At a rodeo in Tremonton, Utah, a bareback rider got told who was boss by the horse he was riding for his round. The tiny but mighty bucking horse came out of the shoot hot, throwing massive bucks that quickly got the cowboy off of his back. However, while most bucking horses will go on their merry way waiting for the pickup riders to loosen their bucking strap, this horse had an alternative plan.

As soon as the cowboy hit the ground, the horse took both of its front hooves, slamming down onto the cowboy and, in the same motion, bit down on the cowboy, pulling him off the ground like a ragdoll. The horse tossed the man around like he weighted nothing before the pickup riders frantically began racing toward the horse to get him to release the cowboy from its jaws.

I genuinely have never seen a horse do such a thing…

While that horse can throw some mean bucks, given the shark attack the rider got after, I’d take a guess that this horse won’t have many, if any, more rounds in the rodeo arena. That’s next level…

The man behind the camera said that the cowboy’s back was broken from grabbing, but I hope he just meant his skin was broken from the grab, not his spine. Either way, I bet he’s on the bench for a hot minute, recovering from that one.

That’s one of those stories that no one would believe if it weren’t for the video footage.
