President Trump Calls Out Maine Governor For Allowing Men To Compete In Women’s Sports: “Enjoy Your Life After Governor, You Won’t Be In Elected Politics”

The Donald isn’t playing around…

Earlier this month, President Donald Trump signed Executive Order 14201, titled “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports,” aiming to prevent transgender women and girls from participating in female sports. This order mandates that Title IX, the federal law prohibiting sex-based discrimination in educational programs, be interpreted based on biological sex assigned at birth. Institutions receiving federal funding must comply or risk losing financial support.

The executive order has prompted investigations by the Department of Education into organizations like the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) for adhering to state laws that allow transgender athletes to compete according to their gender identity. This federal directive has intensified debates over transgender participation in sports, with various states and educational bodies responding differently based on their policies and legal frameworks. Long story short… the hyper woke places like California welcome boys into girl’s sports with open arms.

Public opinion on this issue remains somewhat divided, although it’s fair to say that election results would indicate that most parents, especially ones with young girls (myself included) do not want their daughters competing against biological males. For fairness and for safety… the science is clear that men have a physical advantage over women in terms of speed, power, endurance, strength… should I go on?

Even women’s tennis GOAT Serena Williams made this abundantly clear when she called men’s and women’s tennis “two separate sports.”

“If I were to play Andy Murray, I would lose 6-0, 6-0 in like 5 or 6 minutes.”

Of course, some states have said that they will refuse to comply with the executive order, and Maine did so in particular.

Trump called out Maine during Thursday’s speech at the Republican Governors Association meeting, which eventually led to this standoff today at the White House:

“I understand Maine, is Maine here, the Governor of Maine? Are you not going to comply with it?”

To which, Maine Governor Janet Mills said:

“We’re going to comply with state and federal laws.”

And that’s when Trump buried her:

“We are the federal law. You better do it because you’re not gonna get any federal funding if you don’t. And by the way, your population, even though it’s somewhat liberal although I did very well there, your population doesn’t want men playing in women’s sports. So you better comply because you’re not getting any federal funding.”

Mills interrupted and said that they would see each other in court.

President Trump welcomed it:

“Good, I’ll see you court, I look forward to that. Should be a real easy one. And enjoy your life after Governor because I don’t think you’ll be in elected politics.”

DAMN… dropped that hammer on her.

He followed it up by reiterating that his administration will aggressively work to protect women’s sports:

“Every state has a responsibility to comply with Title IX, they have a legal obligations. We’ll been enforcing aggressively and we’re gonna be protecting our citizens.”

In a statement released on Friday, Mills said:

“The State of Maine will not be intimidated by the president’s threats. If the president attempts to unilaterally deprive Maine school children of the benefit of federal funding, my administration and the attorney general will take all appropriate and necessary legal action to restore that funding and the academic opportunity it provides.”

Since Mills has been the Governor of Maine since 2019, she cannot run for reelection in 2026, however, I’d venture to guess this is the end of her political career as well.

Maine high school athletics have been under fire in particular this week after a male student from Greely High School, who now goes by “Katie Spencer,” won the Class B State Championship in girl’s pole vaulting on Monday. The score of 10 feet, 6 inches (6 inches higher than second place) would’ve been good enough for 10th in the boys competition. That victory also helped the Greely girl’s team win state by just one point.

The student, who used to go by John Rydzewski, competed in boys track and field events for Greely High School last year, where he placed 6th in the Class B State Finals.

Maine State Rep serving serving North Auburn and Minot, Laurel Libby, has been championing a girl’s right to compete against other girls, blasting the Maine Principals’ Association for continuing to allow boys to compete in girl’s sports.
