Kyle Busch’s Wife Sheds Tears Of Joy After President Trump Signs Executive Order To Expand Access To IVF

Tears of joy.

Kyle Busch, famed NASCAR driver, is more than just the man behind the wheel of a fast car. He and his wife also have a very meaningful organization called Bundle of Joy Fund,  which helps couples who want to grow their family but are faced with the financial and emotional struggles of conceiving through IVF.

This is something near and dear to the Busch’s hearts as they used IVF to conceive their children. While they are so thankful for the science that allowed them to bring children into this world, it’s a financially considerable burden. All of the egg retrievals and shots needed to prepare your body to receive an embryo and embryo transplants add up to a lot of dollar signs. And for most couples, it takes multiple rounds of IVF for the woman to become pregnant.

To top this off, getting most insurance companies to help cover any of these costs is very difficult. And while foundations like Bundle Of Joy are working to help people, the odds of IVF leading to a successful pregnancy are much higher for wealthy people who can afford multiple rounds.

In a 2022 conversation with The Charlotte Observer, Samantha Busch revealed:

“We tried to have children naturally for quite a while, and it wasn’t working. So, ultimately, we had to go through the route of IVF. In going through that, we realized it’s not only a physical and emotional struggle, but the financial hurdles are also crazy — and things add up so fast, and insurance doesn’t cover any of it.”

The mission of the Bundle of Joy fund is to help couples who face struggles similar to Busch’s.

“The Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund is dedicated to advocating for infertility education and awareness and removing financial barriers by granting monetary awards to couples who require fertility treatments to have their own bundle of joy.”

Since founding their fund, Kyle and Samantha have helped welcome 96 babies into the world. This is truly incredible work. Today, Samantha took to Instagram to emotionally share some news that will improve the trajectory of their work. President Trump signed an executive order that will require insurance companies to help pay for IVF.

“You guys, it’s happening! I’m not sure if you saw the post, but the President just signed an executive order to help insurance companies pay for IVF.

I can’t tell you over the last decade how many essays I’ve read from deserving couples, hard-working families who wanted nothing more than to be parents. But finances stood in their way. We’ve tried so hard to fund as many people as we can, but we are just a small foundation, and we knew we could never cover everybody…”

In a video, Samantha tearily explains how much this executive order means to her. In her caption, she expands on the financial burden it is to go through IVF.

“I’m in tears writing this—today is monumental for families struggling with infertility. Thank you President Trump for signing an executive order to expand access for IVF, making it more affordable for American families!

After years of fighting, advocating, and sharing my IVF journey, seeing this executive order signed to protect and make fertility treatments more affordable is overwhelming.

Over the years at the Bundle of Joy Fund, we’ve read countless essays from individuals who have had to mortgage their homes, work multiple jobs, and go into debt—just for a chance to have a baby. With the average cost of IVF at $20,000 per cycle and no guarantee of success, the financial burden has been devastating. And with 1 in 6 couples facing infertility, access to care shouldn’t be a privilege—it’s a necessity.

Today is a step forward. Finally, families will have the coverage they so rightly deserve. Thank you again, Mr. President.”

This is truly incredible. As a young woman who hopes to start a family of my own one day, there is always the fear that natural conception will not work for you. While some companies do offer help for women undergoing IVF as a part of their benefits, that is extremely rare, and the financial burden of this fertility treatment is what keeps couples from starting families of their own. Additionally, many families are opting to start having children later in life, compared to previous generations, which in some cases can lead to more difficulties conceiving.

The Bundle of Joy Fund has helped so many families, and with this executive order, they can help even more families going through an IVF journey.

This post is worth all the happy tears.
