This officer's been waiting on this moment since the clock hit zeros on his last high school football game.
There was some disturbing news that broke yesterday about an undercover operation done by multiple law enforcement agencies in Jacksonville, Florida that resulted in the arrest of 27 adults who were trying to meet up with teenagers they came into contact with online. One of those people was former Boston Red Sox pitcher Austin Maddox, who appeared in 13 games back in 2017.
According to
CBS News, Maddox had been in communication with a police officer posing as a young girl, expressed his intention to have sex with her even after he was told explicitly that she was 14 years old, and traveled to a pre-arranged location specifically for that reason.
A group of law enforcement was gathered inside the house as Maddox made his way to the front door, and when he opened it, they sprang to it, but the actions of one officer were particularly noteworthy.
Video footage of the arrest found its way online and show one officer lined up directly behind the door, ready to lead the charge, and when the moment came, he didn't disappoint.
Like a prime Ray Lewis filling the A-Gap, the officer launched himself into Maddox, bringing him violently to the ground. Other officers and a K-9 unit were quick to follow and soon Maddox was in cuffs and custody.

It's truly incomprehensible that Maddox, and the 26 other predators, would try something like this and it really opens your eyes to the dangers of children growing up on the internet and interacting with strangers. They all belong under the jail.
But man is it great to have dudes like these ready to throw down and protect the youth, and the officer that lead the charge sure is getting his flowers online.
