If you think the Super Bowl is a good time, you have not watched the Puppy Bowl. For non-football fans, this is their Super Bowl.
Each year, before the kick-off, Animal Planet hosts their annual Puppy Bowl, highlighting some of the toughest up-and-coming athletes available for adoption. Yesterday’s Puppy Bowl XXI featured 142 puppy players from across the nation.
Before the players hit the field to show off their football skills, the Puppy Bowl also held pre-game coverage, the“Puppy Combine,” so the 2025 “players” could show off their skills before they run across the field.
Yesterday, the Ruff and Fluff teams went head to head as they tried to move as many toys into the end zone as possible, hoping to lead their team to victory.

Team Fluff took home the championship trophy after the big game, but the MVP on social media is one puppy contestant named Jett, who didn’t even appear in yesterday’s Puppy Bowl.
Jett appeared in the 2021 Puppy Bowl and is going viral once again after yesterday’s game, stealing the hearts of social media users all over again. His player bio reads:
“Jett took PUPPY BOWL XVII by storm and fans are clearly on #TeamJett. He was the Lab mix in the wheelchair and a star of Team Fluff. Get to know our paw-sitively adorable field goal kicking champ!”
Given that Team Fluff ended up winning yesterday, it feels right that a former team member is resurging on social media, and this Puppy Bowl legend deserves it.
The sweet black puppy was not like other dogs on the field yesterday as Jett is a special needs dog. Because Jett only has his back legs, he relies on a wheelchair-like contraption that acts as his front limbs. This allows him to run and play like all the other Puppy Bowl contestants.
But don’t think Jett’s disability prevented him from playing as well as the other dogs. Jett is a smart boy who played just as well, maneuvering the toys with his back legs to help his team.

I mean… that’s the cutest thing I’ve seen in a while.
Jett was available for adoption when he played in the game and was adopted shortly after the Puppy Bowl. He now has his forever home, where he gets to happily live out the rest of his days. (Insert crying emoji here.)
