Taylor Swift Got Aggressively Booed In First Jumbotron Appearance At Super Bowl LIX

And so it begins…

I bet the Swifties will quickly defend her, barking up the trees of social media users who find this funny, but Taylor Swift is already getting booed at Super Bowl LIX.

I mean, are we surprised?

NFL fans do not love how much Taylor Swift is shown on the jumbotron and during the broadcast during NFL games, although the pop star has said in the past that she doesn’t care if her big screen appearances p*ss off and “dad, brads, and chads.” She also has made it very clear to NFL viewers that she has no control over when she is shown on the jumbotron.

While that statement is true, and it’s up to the discretion of the TV networks when they choose to show her or not show her, fans are overseeing her at Chiefs games and now have a theory that because the NFL is capitalizing monetarily on her appearances, they will keep the Chiefs succeeding. Those who wholeheartedly believe that theory expect to see a Chiefs win tonight.

While there is still a lot of game time left in Super Bowl LIX, Taylor Swift was already in the doghouse shortly after the game kicked off.

During one of her first appearances on the jumbotron at Caesars Superdome, the packed stadium crowd aggressively booed her. This reaction was quite different from Swifties’ typical screaming and happy crying when they saw her during The Eras Tour. 

As the boos fill the stadium, Swift appears to look to her friend and ask:

“What’s going on?”

She then laughs nervously, appearing not to realize the boos are pointed at her.

Maybe, in this case, ignorance is bliss. I bet Swift will be shown many more times throughout the game, so if the crowd chooses to boo her each time she’s shown on the screen, she will quickly figure out where they are directed.
