Swifties Outraged Over “F*ck Taylor Swift” Philadelphia Eagles Fan Shirt: “Chiefs Three-Peat Guaranteed”

Eagles fan Taylor Swift shirt

Did the Eagles fans just curse their team? It's Super Bowl week, with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs facing off in Super Bowl LIX down in New Orleans on Sunday. So naturally, everybody's talking about...Taylor Swift. The superstar girlfriend of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce seems to once again be dominating the conversation surrounding the big game, especially considering Swift is originally from Pennsylvania and grew up an Eagles fan herself. Now, there's no doubt that Taylor will be cheering for the Chiefs and her boyfriend this time around, just like she was last year when she was on hand to witness Kansas City defeat that San Francisco 49ers to win their second straight Super Bowl. But one thing that's different this time around is that Eagles fans aren't exactly as welcoming and supportive of other teams' fans as other fanbases in the NFL... Of course just a couple of weeks ago a viral video from an Eagles playoff game showed one Birds fan calling a Green Bay Packers fan an "ugly dumb c*nt" during a game at Lincoln Financial Field, a move that resulted in the fan getting fired from his job (ironically, as a DEI consultant). But now, with only the Chiefs standing between them and the Lombardi Trophy, Eagles fans have turned their attention to Kansas City - and anyone associated with the team, including Taylor Swift. Photos have been going around showing a fan-made Eagles shirt that takes aim at the pop star, saying "F*ck Taylor Swift" with the Birds logo over various letters in the vulgar statement. https://twitter.com/NFL_DovKleiman/status/1885876287916450077 I mean, is it classy? No. But is it that offensive? Also no. When I was in college we had students who designed and sold way more offensive shirts than that, things that would no doubt have people trying to cancel me if I wore them out today. It was part of the fun of sports rivalries. And anything to get under your opponent's skin, right? Well as you can imagine, it seems to have done the trick and upset the Swifties (who became Kansas City Chiefs fans within the past two seasons). https://twitter.com/BBQChiefs/status/1885860357106712822 https://twitter.com/xosamryan/status/1885914516166160850 https://twitter.com/abbyheartsyou/status/1886144298543878366 https://twitter.com/taylivia_rina/status/1886196847485837412 https://twitter.com/lovestoryliz/status/1886230307344666818 https://twitter.com/borderlinehigh/status/1885878552224276870 https://twitter.com/karla2783/status/1885959015709970860 https://twitter.com/karistbh/status/1885987035502031039 https://twitter.com/Ovrdramaticntru/status/1885954035930251772 https://twitter.com/killatimi/status/1885943095981695237 https://twitter.com/longlivetvstan/status/1885876381172502810 I'm sure the Eagles fans are scared. Obviously this isn't something that's being sold or endorsed by the team itself, and it wouldn't surprise me if whoever made it gets a cease and desist from the Eagles organization (if they can even find out who made it...it's the wild west out there). But apparently Swifties are convinced that simply cursing her name is enough to unleash the magical powers of Taylor Swift and guarantee a Chiefs three-peat in the Super Bowl this weekend. It's gonna be a fun week. Two of the most obnoxious fan bases, Eagles fans and Swifties, going at each other? As somebody who doesn't really care which team wins the Super Bowl this year, I'm just going to sit back and watch. But if the Chiefs win, I have a feeling it will have less to do with "Tayvoodoo" than it does the referees not being able to do their jobs...
