PGA snake

Not sure whether my disaffinity for serpents stems from the subconscious cultural memory of the Garden of Eden, the impact of Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones, or my own innate instincts, but I would be among the very last people in a throng of PGA Championship patrons with any propensity for wrangling a rogue snake. This slithering creature was not of the smallish variety, yet that didn't stop one courageous soul from taking action. With his buddy capturing the live footage, and other spectators looking on less universally concerned than I'd suspect, the altruistic snake wrangler of Valhalla ensured that nobody would be snakebitten in the literal sense on this day. https://twitter.com/NUCLRGOLF/status/1792250434079395967 PGA Championship Sunday has enough drama. Were I in Louisville for the occasion, I wouldn't need any extra fear-spiking thrills such as this to add to the entertainment value. As of this writing, the leaders are just getting underway in the final round. Hopefully the snake stays in its place around that little red-staked hazard and doesn't get any ideas if one of the contenders hits it into harm's way on whatever hole this is on. Given what happened to Scottie Scheffler on Friday morning, though, it'd actually make some sense that this snake is a mere setup for a pun-intended major payoff later. The stage has been set for something truly bizarre to happen on Sunday's back nine. I envision a scenario where one of the tournament leaders gets the daylights scared out of him by the slinking reptile, makes a big number to let another golfer or golfers back into it, and makes the final few holes that much more intense. Then again, maybe that episode would be of the "scaring somebody straight", and the Good Samaritan Snake Wrangler could enter for an encore act as the gallery's folk hero. In any event, it was just another day in handling typical outdoor business and the hazards of nature in Kentucky for that dude. Salute to his composure, wherewithal and know-how in handling what could've been a panic-inducing crisis with such nonchalant aplomb. https://giphy.com/gifs/IndianaJones-indiana-jones-indianajones-i40YfUVGixcBAFG2yB
