People Are Begging For A “COPS” Style Reality Show Featuring Border Czar Tom Homan & ICE Agents On Their Raids

ICE raids

I'd tune in. I grew up watching the police reality show COPS, which I'm sure everyone is familiar with by now that features police officers going about their business and showing what it's like for cops out on the street. Then there was Live PD, which was a live 3-hour broadcast of police officers across the country responding to calls, making arrests and just dealing with the general nonsense that our men and women in blue have to deal with every day. And for a couple of years, it was appointment television for me. Don't ask me to go out on Friday or Saturday night, because I'm going to be on my couch watching Live PD. This genre of show came under fire during the "defund the police" movement back in 2020, with both COPS and Live PD being canceled in the wake of the death of George Floyd and the resulting protests. But both shows were brought back a couple of years later (with Live PD now being known as On Patrol Live). But it seems like people have an idea for a new police reality show. Since President Donald Trump took office, ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) has been busy conducting raids and rounding up illegal immigrants all over the country. Border czar Tom Homan, a former ICE officer himself, revealed yesterday that the agency has arrested 1,300 illegal immigrants already since President Trump was sworn in, with over 1,000 of those having a criminal record of crimes like rape, assault or burglary. This morning, the Trump administration also shared a photo of deportation flights that have begun removing these illegal immigrants from our country: https://twitter.com/PressSec/status/1882759560613527770 But many online have another idea: Give us a COPS style reality show that features these ICE raids. https://twitter.com/Texas_jeep__guy/status/1882480213256515697 https://twitter.com/Illicetdeath/status/1881010085700538863 https://twitter.com/jercephus/status/1882598378502324507 https://twitter.com/KessenaO/status/1882639149615947930 https://twitter.com/NewRightPoast/status/1882489702101774794 https://twitter.com/RepMikeCollins/status/1882484640390287436 https://twitter.com/TABYTCHI/status/1881734802644283538 https://twitter.com/TPogasic/status/1882457321022124069 https://twitter.com/Texasbrn/status/1882563500226351457 And hey, it's not entirely out of the question. Earlier this week, Fox News went out with ICE during their raids, capturing footage of the agency arresting illegal immigrants including an alleged gang member with 17 criminal convictions, as well as an MS-13 gang member who was wanted for murder in his home country of El Salvador, and a man arrested in the United States for rape who had been released by a sanctuary city. https://twitter.com/BretBaier/status/1882573271524401450 A clip from that footage quickly went viral of a Haitian immigrant screaming "f*ck Trump" and "Joe Biden forever" while claiming that he wasn't going back to Haiti - a claim to which Homan bluntly responded: "Well, he's wrong, he's going back to Haiti." https://twitter.com/FoxNews/status/1882582159107740159 Of course there are some who oppose these raids, which ICE says are targeted at criminals but also include anyone else they happen to come across who's eligible for deportation - criminal record or not. And some cities are still vowing not to cooperate with ICE, as tips for avoiding these raids have gone viral across social media the past couple days. But it seems there are quite a few people who are in favor of rounding up violent illegal immigrants and getting them out of our country - and are even willing to watch it on TV.
