![Bud Light Taps Post Malone & Shane Gillis For New Super Bowl Commercial Teaser]()

Bud Light is going back to their celebrity-endorsement-well for their Super Bowl advertisement this year.
I know mentioning that specific light beer brand can still be a little controversial for those that are still participating in the Bud Light Boycott. In defense of the beer, they've really tried to shake things up - advertising wise - ever since they partnered with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney in March of 2023. It's believed that partnership cost Anheuser-Busch InBev over $1.4 billion in sales.
Ever since then, Bud Light has done their best to go back to the basics, clean house, and restore the brand's image to what it once was. Anything that they've done post-Bud-Light-boycott reverts back to the traditional beer commercials that you would probably think about from the Bud Knight and Dilly Dilly days. And a big part of that has been signing on country and pop star Post Malone and comedian Shane Gillis to be brand ambassadors.
The ads that Bud Light have rolled out as of late with Shane Gillis have actually been funny. One was a
"Welcome Back to College Football" ad, and the other
poked fun at those crazy perfume/cologne commercials you see on television. It really does seem as though Bud Light is back on track, and that's especially true considering they just teased a Super Bowl commercial starring both Post Malone and Shane Gillis.
In the new teaser, Malone and Gillis walk up to a suburban front door dressed like certified dads (collared shirts tucked into jean shorts paired with tall white socks). Gillis is holding a 30-rack of Bud Lights as they ring the doorbell and shout "C'mon!" and plead to be let into the party. The "c'mon" is reminiscent of their classic "Wazzzup!" ads that started in 1999.
The "Knock Knock" teaser concludes with the pair - who have cracked open a couple of cold ones while they waited -getting a text message (on a phone that's clipped onto Gillis' belt, classic dad move) saying that the party they are looking for is actually "out back." So they walk off the porch and around to the backyard, which finally shows off their ridiculous outfits.

Love the heel click by Posty there at the end.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that during the Super Bowl, we'll all get to see what the backyard party looks like. Could everyone be dressed like dads? Will the beer brand call in any other celebrities? Or maybe some beloved Bud Light characters like the Bud Knight? I guess we'll have to tune into the big game in order to find out. Until then though, we'll all just be yelling "C'moooooon!" like Shane Gillis and Post Malone were in this advertisement.
And hey, if you are in a strange position where you feel the sudden urge to watch another beer commercial, may I direct you to this absolutely legendary Super Bowl ad from 1989 where Bud Light bottles played against Budweiser bottles (with helmets on and everything) in a make believe football game?
It's a real blast from the past, and if you ask me, they could just start rolling this one back out on modern day TV and I'm sure everyone would love it:
