The Tiger King, Joe Exotic, Begs For President Trump To Pardon Him: “Trump Will Do The Right Thing”

Rolling out a social media campaign to get President Trump's attention. Joe Exotic, also known as the Tiger King, captivated social media during the COVID lockdown with his documentary-style show Tiger King. The show followed Joseph Allen Maldonado (Joe Exotic's legal name) as he operated the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park, where visitors could see tigers, cubs, and other exotic animals. But fans loved the show because, beyond detailing his odd business plan, it also highlighted his drama with an exotic animal activist, Carole Baskin. The series took a twist when fans learned that in 2019, Maldonado was convicted on 21 counts, including 19 counts of wildlife crimes and two counts of hiring hitmen to kill Baskin. Given the show began filming in 2014, quite some time has passed since filming wrapped and the show aired, and Joe Exotic was sentenced to 21 years in federal prison. However, while Joe Exotic has been in prison, he's remained that he is innocent, especially on the front that he did not hire hitmen nor attempt to murder Baskin. His lawyer says new evidence proves his innocence, and they have filed a direct appeal to Trump for a pardon. Before Trump returned to office, he was pushing for clemency, but now, he is keeping his fingers and toes crossed that he will receive a pardon. Right before power was transferred from Biden to Trump, Biden pardoned five of his family members, and right after Trump took office, he pardoned hundreds of riots who were serving sentences for the attack on the Capitol on January 6th, 2021.
