Like my mama always said, there's a time and a place for certain things. At first, I thought this was funny, because I was hoping it was a total accident and mishap that would only happen to someone like Theo Von, who responded with perfect comedic timing, per usual. But it was a prank, and in pretty poor taste in my humble opinion... I don't know much about the Paul brothers, but I feel like it's never great if I see their names in the headlines, and maybe stuff like this is why. Yesterday, comedian Theo Von attended the inauguration of President Donald Trump and JD Vance today, as well as some of the events following throughout the afternoon. Of course, he scored pretty big interviews with both the President and VP ahead of the election, and that produced some pretty viral moments last fall that were seen all over the internet. Theo had another viral moment on the way to the inauguration today with MMA fighter Conor McGregor, Jake and Logan Paul, and several other influencers gearing up for the ceremonies, but while listening to the President yesterday afternoon at the inauguration (you can hear President Trump in the background), Theo's chair came crashing down. Logan Paul was sitting in the row directly behind him and caught it all on video, and now we know it's because he's the one who made the chair fall to begin with. Danica Patrick, as well as a few others around her, looked truly concerned as he fell. Here's the video: And last night, Theo responded to the above tweet that showed the video, which said that he "accidentally fell backward" during the inauguration: "Theo Von accidentally fell backward and broke his chair while attending Donald Trump’s inauguration at Capitol Hill with Logan Paul and Jake Paul." Theo said it "wasn't an accident," and that the Paul brothers thought it was funny to mess with his chair. He added that there's "a time and a place" for things like that, calling it an "L." I completely agree with him, and no matter who the President is, that is so childish and disrespectful, and I would've been super annoyed if I was Theo finding out is was a prank. Like, have some respect? Some people just don't know how to act... I'm not sure if he's actually kind of upset by or not, but I think it's incredibly dumb: "Wasn't an accident. Paul kids thought it was funny to mess with the chair. There’s a time and a place ya know. L." Theo had a great quip ready to go when he fell, though, calling them "Kamala's chairs," (okay, I feel like that's funny no matter who you voted for), and a fan on X responded saying he's glad even the "best comedians" don't know how to recover from something like this... I mean, it's kind of true, because is there anything more embarrassing than falling out of or breaking a chair, especially in a room full of people? I can't think of much because that's something everyone will stop and turn around for... "It's good to know even the best comedians don't know how to recover for this lol." Theo responded, joking that he felt like he "fell through to another world": "Hahah so true bro felt like i fell thru to another world." I mean, no one else could've recovered like that, but maybe next time, he should go with some other people...
