Woman In Labor Goes Viral For Making Husband Sing Creed’s “Higher” Right Before She Started Pushing

Singing Creed in labor

Getting into the right headspace for childbirth. This has to be one of the best things I've seen from the delivery room. Well, maybe it's a close second to hearing Post Malone retell his daughter's birth to Theo Von during his appearance on This Past Weekend. But this is the best visual labor and delivery video I've seen in a hot minute. Childbirth is a crazy thing. Although I have yet to experience it as a woman, witnessing some of my close friends become mothers is incredible. It's impressive to see how the human body changes to carry a baby and deliver a new life into the world. It's also amazing to see how motherly instincts kick in, and moms and dads take to their new babies so quickly, wanting to care for and nurture them. With that being said, pregnancy and childbirth are also not a walk in the park. Your body is being stretched and pushed in ways unimaginable. Women are badasses. While some women look forward to eating a cold sub, sushi, or enjoying an alcoholic beverage after birth - keeping their minds focused on what's on the other side after the baby makes their debut into the world, this one woman was motivating herself in an unconventional way to push. A woman on social media is going viral for having her husband sing Creed's "Higher" with her before she began pushing. "Thinking back to when I was 10 cm dilated and I made my husband sing Creed with me to get in the right headspace."  In their hospital room, the woman is laid up in her bed with all the monitors around her belly, and her husband is standing by her side, singing the lyrics with her. However, the woman did not think he was getting into enough to help her headspace and hilariously said to him during the chorus: "You have to. I'm about to give birth... go." Right after that, her husband put some pep in his step and began singing the legendary song with more power. Talk about an epic way to hype yourself up for childbirth. Honestly, I can't think of a better hype-up song than Creed's "Higher." The build-up of the melody is the perfect thing to hear as you ramp up to push a child out of you. "Higher" when you're pushing, "With Arms Wide Open" when your new baby arrives... Creed has you covered. This woman is going to be one helluva mom.
