Secret Service Agent Looks Confused After Joe Biden Awkwardly Strokes His Hand As He Leaves The White House For The Final Time

Joe Biden Secret Service

Keep your hands to yourself, Joe. Now-former President Joe Biden has always had a reputation for being a touchy feely kinda guy, something he's taken some criticism for in the past. Biden could also be seen sniffing kids and women, and photos would often go viral of children and others looking uncomfortable at his awkward displays of affection. https://twitter.com/joemill37087868/status/1825563273514922159 Well obviously today was the final day of Biden's presidency, with President Donald Trump being sworn in at noon today. And ahead of the inauguration, Biden and his wife Jill hosted Trump and First Lady Melania Trump at the White House for tea before departing for the inauguration at the United States Capitol. And it seems that Biden just couldn't help himself on his way out the door. While leaving the White House for the final time to get into a waiting vehicle, Biden awkwardly stroked the hand of the (male) Secret Service agent holding the car door open. https://twitter.com/StevenDialFox4/status/1881366349035024652 The agent looked around uncomfortably as he shut the door, and viewers couldn't help but notice the awkward interaction between the man and Biden on his way out the door: https://www.tiktok.com/@jessemspence/video/7462023655770443050 Had to get one more in on his way out the door. Of course making his Secret Service agents uncomfortable isn't all that Biden accomplished on his last day. The 46th president spent the final hours of his administration issuing preemptive pardons to several people that Democrats viewed as potential targets of the Trump administration, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, members of the January 6th committee, and the Capitol Police officers who testified before the committee. And in a shocking move just minutes before Trump was sworn in, it was announced that Biden had issued pardons for several of his family members, despite promising four years ago that he would not issue preemptive pardons. It was just one of the many awkward moments from Inauguration Day, which included former President Bill Clinton getting called out for eyeballing Carrie Underwood during her performance of "America the Beautiful" and Kid Rock shooting his shot with a BBC reporter during an interview. While Biden and Kamala Harris looked pretty uncomfortable during Trump's inaugural address, and former First Lady (and presidential candidate) Hillary Clinton laughed out loud when Trump mentioned renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, one of the most entertaining parts of the inauguration was watching former President George W. Bush, who seems truly relaxed and enjoying himself post-presidency - so much so that people online were convinced he took an edible before the inauguration. https://twitter.com/KryssyLaReina/status/1881427591690871072 Just another day in American politics... The highlight of the ceremony, though, (other than getting Trump back in office) was Carrie Underwood's incredible acapella performance after being hit by technical difficulties. The country singer faced plenty of criticism for her decision to perform at Trump's ceremony, but didn't seem to be too bothered when she decided to forge ahead without music - and absolutely crushed it. https://twitter.com/kitmahercnn/status/1881398807172395501 The Trump 2.0 era is officially here - which is probably good news for any children who don't want to be sniffed by the President of the United States.
