California Sports Reporter Caught With Racy Photo On His Computer During Live Show

Jake Gadon CBS Sacramento

Hard at work or hardly working? One of the unintended consequences of the COVID pandemic and everybody working from home is that you had to be extra careful about what was in the background during Zoom meetings. We saw plenty of examples of people who left things out that shouldn't have been, or people accidentally walking by the camera in...well, various states of undress. https://twitter.com/MikeSington/status/1549079593285349377 So by now, you would think that everybody would be aware of what was behind them when they were going to be on camera. But apparently our guy Jake Gadon didn't get the memo. Jake is a sports reporter for CBS News Sacramento, having been in the business since graduating from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University back in 2016. And you would think one thing they would teach at such an esteemed journalism school is to be aware of your surroundings when you're on the air... But apparently Jake forgot to close out of the tabs on his computer before going on the air for a recent live shot, and as he reported on Las Vegas Raiders coach Antonio Pierce being fired after believing that his job was safe for another season. Eagle-eyed viewers noticed a...well, racy photo on his computer in the background: https://www.tiktok.com/@marcobarragan6/video/7457394819602681119?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc&web_id=7079551662505215534 What you looking at there Jake? Of course there were plenty of jokes about Jake being "hard at work" and questions about why a picture like that was up on his work computer. But it appears that Jake was looking at Rihanna's new photoshoot on Instagram, in which the singer showed off the new Valentine's Day collection for her Savage X Fenty lingerie brand.

Hey, can't blame a guy for looking at that. Maybe he was just shopping for a Valentine's Day gift for his wife. (I have no idea if he's married). In the comments, people tried to bail ol' Jake out of the sticky situation: "She did that super bowl halftime performance once. It's probably related." "What’s the problem man clearly has impeccable taste" "Well, it’s Rihanna, so can’t blame a man." "Just a husband buying lingerie for his wife. Valentines day is coming up. where else is he gonna look" "I mean it is Rihanna's new photo shoot posted this week. Wasn't he doing his journaling job?" (That excuse might work if he wasn't the sports reporter...) And because it's 2025, of course there were also people in the comments calling for him to get fired, but honestly it was probably just a case of bad timing as he was scrolling Instagram and had to go on the air. But still, this is the perfect example of why you need to be aware of what's in the background when you're on camera. If ol' Jake is married, that was probably an awkward conversation to have with his wife when he got home. He's going to have to buy her Rihanna's lingerie now to get himself out of this one. And Jake, maybe save the Instagram scrolling for your phone.
